Can I have 1 eBay account when selling in NY and 1 selling in Florida when I am Snow Birding?
Ok I already have 2 accounts. One account I have used actively for many years, the other account is basically dormant but it is present.
1. I am going to Florida for one or two months. I have to place my primary store on vacation, because I cannot drag inventory to Florida.
2. Can I sell in Florida on the second account without having a problem?
3. Can I start selling on second account to build up feedback then switch to Florida?

You can sell and ship from NY from one account.
You can sell and ship from FLA from another account.

·2 years agoWhy not just use one account by using the Out of Stock option. Put the quantity to Zero for anything listed with the location your not available to ship from. Then restore the quantity for anything listed where you currently can ship from?
Also make sure in your profile that edit any addresses need temporarily change and that on the shipping label you adjust the Return Shipping address if that changes too.

·2 years agoIf you cant take your inventory to FL..... Im confused WHY you would sell from FL on a new account.
If your account is dormant for 90 days (either account) it is considered a "new" seller. No matter the amount of FB

OP2 years agoI was putting account number one on vacation mode from NY.
I do not think I can sell from Florida on that account if it’s on vacation mode.
I am going to source from Florida and place a few items for sale when I am there..

·2 years agoVacation mode (now known as "Time away") has an option to allow sales, but with an extended handling time. But you wouldn't be able to selectively sell some items (the ones in FL) without also allowing sales of the NY items too.

I like the suggestion above: Instead of Time Away, use the option called "Out of stock". On your main selling account, set the "quantity available" for your NY items to zero, then you can list the FL items just as you always would list.
Or for just a month or two away, you also could just end the listings for the NY items, then relist them when you return. That would allow you to use the more established NY account for selling while you're in FL.
To me, either of those options seems to work better in your situation than any of the "Time away" options would. Just be sure if you use the OOS option, to opt-in to it in your Site Preferences first, or you'll end up with the second option instead (i.e., ending the listings).

·2 years agoSelling from two different locations is a good reason to have two accounts. Have you tried to sell anything from this account recently to make sure it works as you wish?

OP2 years agoNo I have not. . I was thinking of placing several items to check if it’s up and working,
previously it was just for buying. Only have 9 positive feedback. I need to increase feedback.

·2 years agoI am not sure of all the rules with having two accounts. I know you have to have different eMails but I wonder if you have to have different bank accounts? Also depending on what you are selling maybe eBay may want to hold onto the money for a while?
A few days before you make your move back to your primary state I would suggest changing the return to address in your Florida account to your primary address. A request for a return could be requested for 30 days after a delivery.
You say you only have 9 Feedbacks and you need to increase. Is there a requirement that you have to have so many Feedbacks before you can sell on that account?

OP2 years agoVery similar accounts. Same bank info and credit card info.. different emails.
I thought I should increase the feedback, just from a buyers perspective. Higher feedback, more trust.

I remember when eBay first started you were not allowed to sell anything until you had 10 Feedbacks. But you could receive a Feedback for anything. It did not have to be tied to a purchase or a sale, just as long as 10 people left a Positive Feedback of some sort for you.
Where are you going to in Florida?
