Can a Seller Cancel a Bid on a Auction that hasn't ended?
Someone bid on my auction item. Another person asked several questions 1 I had no answer to give and he told me I was a loser and then wrote another message saying he was going to bid anyway. I can see this turning into a nightmare for me when the auction ends if he wins. Can I cancel his bid and block him?

·4 months agoThis morning I had one write to ask if they could buy just one item out of a lot I had listed. Normally that's ridiculous enough already (like yeah, I'd love to re-photograph the whole lot all over again, minus one piece -and it's usually the BEST piece of course). But this is an auction with bids already! 🤣.
Straight to the BBL with that name.

·4 months agoI am just curious as I have never cancelled a bid before, but does eBay ask for a reason for cancelling the bid? When you cancelled the bid, did this cause a Defect against your account?

·4 months agoNo. They do ask for a reason if the buyer attempts to retract a bid, but a seller can cancel a bid for any reason (or no reason) at all.
