Buyers who take advantage of sellers.
Hi everyone.
I think most sellers here have experienced buyers who try to take advantage of you.
Humans species... what a shame.
Anyway without all the policies & procedures stuff.
I'm very curiouse if eBay is keeping track of buyers who constantly scam.
EBay definitely sees if a buyer makes multiple returns. Or opens multiple accounts. Ebay sees the patterns we do not.
They also see how many times each buyer is getting a refund. Now I'm not talking about scenarios where a sale really did need be returned or replaced.
I'm talking about the data eBay sees that we do not. Which for hard core full time scammers would easily be able to see threw the stats on ebays side.
Does eBay have any system to filter out abusive buyers?
The ones who do this to sellers, the ones who target specific sellers. So there accounts obviously have a history of doing these things.
My question is. Does eBay have an automated system that flags these buyers?
Is there any thing eBay has to address, ebays full time scammers that target honest buyers?
Or are they just allowed to continue to scam buyers year after year?, clearly building a data base with eBay that shows to be true.
I'm not looking for advice on how to properly sell. If a seller gets scammed. Ebay does not win. They loose there final value profits. You would think there's some sort of red flag system that would flag a buyers account for consistently causing problems between buyers, sellers & eBay.
Thanks ever so much!
Sincerly
Bry
P.s. eBay is my #1 go to place for buying & selling, I think I need to go to eBay rehab. I'm such a buying & selling addict.

·5 years agoThey have a report buyer for misuse of the system. They also can keep track of serial returners much like Amazon began to do years ago, and many many many other retailers including Walmart who take back everything , UP TO A POINT. Personally, if I get a buyer who returns 3 or more items with no really good reason I consider them a cost to my business not an asset and I block them.

·3 years agoMy opinion is that ebay is a good hunting ground for this. Taking advantage of the new comers that have lost everything due to COVID-19 . These people have took the last of family before them to save their family today. Knowing that they'll never see that dime that their grandmother carried in her purse years from her grandmother is gone for a couple of hundred bucks and find out it was worth thousand more than that and their still hungry. I haven't experienced this personally but I have done my research I think of my grandmothers dime or my dad's pocket watch.
