buyers saying they are not receiving packages although tracking says delivered

I am on about the 4th one, the last two within 2 weeks. Is this some type of new scam? To avoid getting bad reviews I have just been refunding after a few days, but this is not something I want to keep doing, kind of defeats the purpose.

I've been hit with this scam as well.

Seller gives arrival date of the 18th.

Buyer attempts to track time of arrival on the 18th, but Seller gave erroneous tracking number.

Seller sends Buyer real tracking number only for Buyer to find the package was delivered on the 14th yet Buyer never received a package.

Buyer contacts Courier service who then eventually sends Buyer record of delivery which is NOT Buyers address.

Courier recommends Buyer contact Seller and recommend they speak with the clerk at the location they sent the package from to determine who was in err.

Buyer has no package to return for refund and Buyer is out close to $200.00!

eBay customer service has NOT responded to my last email. In which I ask how can they judge in favor of the seller by the fact that the courier services says it was delivered when I have provided proof from the courier that it was delivered, but NOT TO MY ADDRESS?

Why are you refunding? Stop doing that!

If they file a INR (item not received) on a item that the tracking shows delivered,

simply respond to the case AND enter the tracking number.

You will win the case and will owe the buyer nothing.

Are you getting these through messages or actual eBay cases for INR's? If you are getting them through messages and simply refunding you are being had. Never refund a buyer outside the official process. If they are INR cases do as others have indicated and simply upload the tracking information. If it has been delivered that part of you job as a seller is done. If it was stolen by porch pirates or the buyer had an incorrect address that is not your issue that is the buyers.

Why aren't you uploading tracking into the Item Not Received Claim? Then you wouldn't be refunding at all.

I don't think you can get a "bad review" (or at least not have one removed)

If the reason for your refunds are "Items Not Received" even though tracking says they are delivered.

You should simply reply to the ebay message by uploading the tracking information to the message, and ebay 'should' rule the dispute in your favor....if they leave a 'bad review' I have seen that ebay removes the offending/related remarks......

now, if they are low-ticket items, and you don't really want to jeopardize your "status"....then that is up to you...

You do realize that, by refunding these claims, even though there is tracking proving delivery, you are encouraging scammers to continue, right?

And by posting here with your seller ID, doesn't that mean that all of us , theoretically, could buy from you, pay, claim nondelivery even though tracking shows otherwise, and get a refund while keeping the item?
