Buyers not leaving feedback.
Is there any reason why buyers don't leave feedback? So far I've sold 5 things and each time the buyer was nice and got what they bought, but never left feedback. I always leave feedback when somebody buys from me.

·1 year agoI believe Ebay should possibly take away buyer feedback As other posters have said the number of buyers leaving feedback has decreased over time. On this store, out of our last 33 orders that were delivered, dating back to Dec. 20th., over $4000 in sales, only 5 left feedback, about 15%. Our largest store here, on ebay for 24 years, with almost 2k items has similar feedback numbers now. That store has sold 76k orders in it's history, and the feedback is 21% after 24 years. However I think we figured it was about 18% last year. Buyer feedback is kind of a joke now. I've seen sellers now moving to an automated reciprocal feedback policy, meaning the seller does not give feedback until the buyer does. We may move to that method across all our stores although I fear it could have negative consequences, such as even less feedback received, or undeserved negatives.

·1 year agoYa it's not mandatory to leave Seller Feedback ... but buyers should. Don't wanna upset these losers. Personally I think the % of pukes who don't are scum. We live in a world of participation trophies and hurt feelings. Why The Hell would a Seller want to leave Feedback to Buyers for doing what they are supposed to do? Pay! It's so stupid. You see thats Ebay's answer to the complaint of Buyers not leaving Feedback. Ya it's on the honor system, SO HONOR IT DICKS! I would erase every one of my Feedback received as buyer if I could. How about the loser who wont pay and it ties your product up for like a month until Ebay can work it out. Ebay should create a program when after a certain amount of time goes buy ... 60 days, 45, 30, whatever The seller receives automated positive Feedback with a generic statement like " Seller fulfilled obligation within allotted time" Ya, the world takes all kinds but when you sell 50 items and get 3 Feedbacks it's really bull**bleep**. And FY to all the Ebay sympathizers. They are a 10+ billion dollar a year company and rip us off every transaction. The company doesn't help for **bleep**. Even lets liars win cases that Sellers prove them 100% wrong. I've jumped through hoops to make buyers happy and 90% are ungrateful POS. "Get it to me fast and I promise to leave you great Feedback.' - The Ghost.

·1 year agoI understand why you're frustrated- as a new seller with a very low feedback number, it would be great to get that number up a little. Feedback internet-wide is only about 30-40%, which is about what mine is. I'm fine with that, but someone with a bunch of feedback like myself saying that doesn't help much. All I can say is keep using best practices, leave feedback first, don't ask for it and just be patient.

·1 year agoThe feedback will come as your sales increase. I wouldn't suggest asking them for it. It will come, just continue to give very good customer service and ship exactly what your listing describes. As I've said many times, I would rather have quality feedback over quantity. I think about 35% of my buyers leave it.
Good luck to you.

·1 year agoFeedback is optional, not a mandate. Many purchasers today just want their 'stuff', & forget about the fb. Yes, as a seller, you most likely do leave fb for your sale. I do as well. In reality, it is far better to receive -0- feedback from a purchaser than a Neutral or Negative for some ridiculous reason on a product they received from you. Some clients leave fb for me, some don't, and I'm ok with that, they still receive fb on an item when delivered.

·1 year agoWhatever you do, don't ever ask a buyer for feedback. Some buyers have been known to leave a neutral or negative for the simple reason that a seller asked for feedback and the buyer considers this harassment.
If you don't receive feedback, consider that the transaction is good and the buyer is okay with it.

·1 year agoOn one of our other stores we had an international buyer leave us negative because allegedly he didn't receive the package, it showed delivered, but his reasoning was EBAY "was stupid" and kept sending him reminder emails about leaving feedback for a transaction he never even got. Ebay removed the feedback since nothing was our fault.

·1 year agoYou will receive feedback with the new automated feedback for sellers with less than 10 feedbacks as long as the transactions were completed successfully.
Here is the policy:

·1 year agoThe best way to build feedback is to buy, not to sell.
Since you imply you have a buying account already, I would encourage you to use it as your selling account and switch the listings on this account to that one.
Or do some buying on this one , checking the seller's FB to see that they do leave it.
Leaving feedback on shipment is in my opinion one of the best ways to get feedback on delivery.
I use Lettermail, untracked, for much of my shipping, which basically puts me in the same position as a seller of digital goods, since neither of us can ever prove delivery.
I leave feedback on shipment, including the date of shipment, which also helps me find the transaction if there is a problem.
Even so, I only get about 40% reciprocal FB.

·1 year agoAll the feedback in world as a buyer and a nickle won't buy you a cup of coffee - except in Wall Drugs, Wall, South Dakota and here is where you put that nickle on the honor system. Did it in 1976 in the June & the price is still a nickel

And if you go there in the winter you can enjoy your coffee and read the local rage in a place like this

·1 year agoMaybe they actually didn’t like what they received but are too nice to leave a bad feedback.

One of my best buyers has ordered dozens of items from me -- but has not ONCE left me feedback.
Doesn't bother me bit one.

·1 year agoFeedback is optional, not mandatory. You will find that less than 50% of buyers leave feedback. @albertabrightalberta is correct. You are in violation.

·1 year ago@rbxaccounts Looks like you are a new seller as of 11/24/2024. You have sold 3 items between Dec 12 - 14. Buyers have time to provide FB there is no rush especially if it was a gift for some one and it is strictly an voluntary exercise. for buyers/sellers to do so.
Looks like you first need to closely evaluate what items you are selling on the eBay site -before no FB could be the least of your issues.

·1 year agoLess than 50%? It’s far less than that:
Last 14 transactions 1 feedback left
Last 9 transactions prior 1 feedback left
Last 3 transactions prior to that 1 feedback left
Last 14 transactions before that one, 1 left
Last 8 transactions before that, 1 was left
Over time some of these numbers may improve, but the amount of buyers leaving feedback nowadays is decreasing exponentially.

·1 year agoI sold here in the 90's full time, then returned to college to finish up, had to start over here as I had not 'logged in for over a year' I was told; here I am. Back then not uncommon for a customer to routinely leave fb, now it's a hit and miss. Your stats are interesting, I should probably take some time and study mine. Thanks!!

·1 year agoI just checked our sales from earlier this year (I picked a 3 month period long enough ago that anyone who would leave feedback would have), and we got feedback from about 36% of our orders.

·1 year agoReceived over 64% Feedback as a seller only on the sales of 1665 items (1 neg & 0 neutrals) only 1 return. Always sent the buyer FB when they paid (pronto or late) when I bought my shipping label thru eBay & always used USPS services. Me thinks the waiting game (the buyer sends first) works against the seller - heck they paid but "ain't got no goods while waiting on the seller to ship - kinda' like the feeling when I go shopping with "She Who Must Be Obeyed and football is on = life is not fair.
