Buyers bidding on auctions.. Want me to hold on because they want to buy more and combined shipping
I thought we worked it out, but they said they had to pay for second item, so I couldn't send an invoice with the combined shipping cost. Also, I don't know how to get credit for an item I had to use USPS to get a combined shipping cost. I am also getting buyers that want me to tell them the shipping cost in advance for a couple of auctions.??

·11 months agoI agree with @bonanza125. But would add that you tell potential customers that you will ship at actual price. Maybe put in your listing that you combine shipping.
If you print labels thru ebay, you combine the order right in ebay.
Listings like these may be an issue. Lots of buyers won't realize you are only selling one (assuming you are), and would expect to get all the items in the photo.

·11 months agoYou could go to your business policies and set up several shipping policies where you offer combined shipping as long as your buyers add all items to cart before payment. Also go into your shipping preferences and look at the different was to combine shipping costs. Here you can set up flat or calculated rules, the ability to allow invoice requests, and rate tables. This makes for an easier checkout for buyers and you don't have to worry about refunding.
These 2 sections (shipping preferences & business policies) make it easier for the seller to sell multiple items. Yes, you could have free shipping on all items, but buyers know it isn't really free and built into every item.

·11 months agoYou could just give them a partial refund for the shipping cost difference. When someone pays you they pay you in full so all you are doing is refunding whatever that difference is. Make sure you don't accidently refund in full. Same would apply to the others who ask about combine shipping. Which is why I usually just do fixed price listings with "free shipping" therefore trying to do calculations on combine shipping will not be needed the shipping cost is in with the price.
