Buyer wants to do bank transfer without using ebay or PayPal check out
Have a German buyer upset he wants to do a direct bank transfer to me without using ebay check out. I don't want to do it he has to pay through ebay and doesn't understand why I won't put my bank data in messages. He could easily use PayPal guest checkout I don't know why he doesn't he has 71 positive feedback Would you send your bank details in ebay messages? I just don't feel comfortable doing that.

Exchanging IBAN numbers and making bank transfers is a routine practice in Europe. It is not nearly as common in the USA; we are way behind the times in this area and some USA banks charge postively brutal fees.
That being said:
Just because a European buyer might be comfortable with that routine payment method does not mean that an eBay seller should violate eBay policy to accommodate him.

OP5 years agoWell alls well ends well the buyer agreed to cancel and items relisted. I have blocked him as not worth the hassle. I have good buyers in Germany they all know the payment rules.
