buyer wants to be paid a refund for canceled item but he never paid anything
I also, like others.
can't sell much despite lowering prices and I list cheaper than other 's sold prices. I also off free insured tracked shipping.
BUT TODAY i have a worse problem:
I listed a coin. It was for under twenty dollars. The buyer hadn't paid after 2 days, After that I noticed that the
coin was missing from the shop so I canceled the sale. EBay said that was all i had to do. Because of recent bad behavior of buyers, I wrote the buyer an apology. He wrote back and asked if I was going to refund, I can't understand that. I reported ths to eBay last night. EBay said they will investigate. I have not heard back from eBay or the buyer yet. Can thaat person give me a bad feedback?
And also, how do I block this buyer? He never paid and eBay has no funds pending for me,

·2 years agoI am posting this specifically, as others may have missed this tidbit. That is why the sale was canceled. True, the buyer hadn't paid yet, but the reason for canceling was due to being out of stock of the item. (missing).
Just so we are all clear.
OP:
You can block the buyer on the block list, by adding their name to it. If they had not paid, there is nothing to refund. Nor can they leave feedback if they haven't paid.
Now, they could have you mixed up with another seller too, that does happen. lol

Yes now the buyer will be able to if they so choose.

·2 years agoAre you sure about that? I was under the impression that they couldn't if they hadn't paid. At this point in time, its going to be a defect for the seller for canceling due to out of stock, which is going to hurt more than a red mark would.

·2 years agoThey can't if the seller cancels for the buyer not paying, but even if they haven't paid, I think they're going to potentially be able to leave feedback because the seller cancelled as out of stock instead. Admittedly, the eBay documentation on that isn't completely clear, but it fits with what I've seen on our account before.

·2 years agoA seller should wait 4 days and then cancel a sale for payment not received. Did you get charged for canceling the won auction...there's usually a fee if you cancel before 4 days? it also depends the reason why you cancel...
In inbox of emails...not eBay...but of all the emails you receive daily...check to see to make sure buyer did or did not paid for the item.
"No funds pending" and a "no fee for cancel of auction before that 4 day period" for buyer to pay is strange.
I believe a buyer can leave feedback but not really sure of the situation.
