Buyer trying to scam me for coins not even in listing discription
Has anyone elese had this issue. I sold a Morgan dollar lot and the buyer received the coin lot then tried to turn around a request coins that were not even in the listing description. They buyer said he thought he saw a differnt coin in the picture even though the discription was very clear what coin were in the lot. EBay says the buyer filed a compaint with their financial institute and has put a hold on over $430 to my seller account for 4-8 weeks. Whats going on with eBay? Any help

·11 months agoOnce they go to their payment source, you're pretty much SOL.
Bank will find in favor of their customer, you'll have t refund and buyer will keep the coins.

·11 months agoEvery merchant that accepts credit cards runs this risk. Whether an eBay
seller calls himself (Or herself) a merchant or not, He or she is still defined as one.
There's little protection from charge-backs when a buyer decides to go this route.

·11 months agoUnfortunately nothing can be done..simply stop selling coins on eBay or sell for pickup only..p.s. make sure that you fully cooperate with buyer’s financial institution if they contact you. Have documentation in order.Good luck.
