Buyer selected "Priority Mail" when I was covering shipping
Hello! I offered an item for sale with no shipping charges. I had already incorporated those charges into the listing price. The item was purchased today and the order confirmation says "buyer selected Priority Mail." Ebay then gives me the option to purchase a shipping label for $6.99. This is a LARGE item that will definitely cost more than $6.99 to ship. Can I just ignore this and ship it at my own cost, which is what I planned on doing? Thank you!

·1 year agoYou will need to ship by Priority Mail though, hope you realize that since that is what you offered

·1 year agoYes, you can ignore it and ship it as you planned. The buyer may not be happy if it takes too long to get there though. As others have pointed out the buyer did not pick Priority Mail. You did by not modifying the listing when you created it. Keep an eye on that next time.

I noticed you have a $69 doll that has shipping at $66.99. Looked out of place with the rest of your listings.

·1 year agoYour Free Delivery items that I can see are all specifying Priority Mail (and no other options), so if that is what your Sold item showed (I can't seem to find it), then that is what your buyer expects to receive.
Just to be clear, though: for domestic shipments, the first Shipping option (the default choice, such as Ground Advantage) can be shown as Free Shipping, but if you offer upgraded options (such as Priority Mail), those are not also labeled as Free; the buyer is charged for a Shipping upgrade if they select it. If Priority was not your default choice in that listing, are you sure that the buyer has not actually paid for it?
Otherwise, as the others have already stated, if you listed it as Free Priority Shipping, then that is what you use.

·1 year agoWhat is the item number @katnicki-0 ? Even when you offer "free shipping" you are specifying a shipping service and cannot downgrade.
For example this "giant" doll offers Free Priority Shipping and if you don't intend to ship with Priority then you need to change the service on the listing # 376001312983.

Your fault.
I would ship it Priority Mail as the buyer requested and eat the overage.

·1 year agoYou don't have to use Ebay shipping labels, but you'll save money using them.
To get the right shipping amount, you need to enter the weight and dimensions of the package.
