We have about 20 search categories set up as "Saved Searches". Every morning we get an e-mail with all of the recently listed items on Ebay meeting the search criteria. Our customers do this and it helps them find our new stuff easier. These e-mails used to come around 6:00 AM CST, now they come at 7:00 AM CST. However this morning, nothing has come. I have the saved searches spread out over 4 Ebay accounts, and non of them received e-mail notifications today. This has happened before. This is a vital sales tool. Really concerning these are so haphazard. What else is Ebay "Not Doing" that is impacting our sales?

·4 months agoI received all the usual alerts today at the usual time.
Whatever the issue was it seems it only lasted one day.

·4 months agoAh yes, I have experienced this or a similar problem in the past.
To solve it, I started saving the actual search to favorites in my browser, under a special category called...
Can you guess it?

Now I don't get daily notifications, and I only peruse item searches when I need to.
Saving one to favorites keeps all the settings too (like low-high price, us only, price range, used/new, etc)

·4 months agoFolks have been complaining about missing saved search emails for a long time, for many different reasons. In one case, the user's email provider was simply dropping eBay's emails because apparently there were "too many of them".
If you are finding that eBay's email alerts are not reliable, you (or your buyers) may want to consider a third party option. There are services that provide similar function with added features such as more frequent searches than once per day.
Google automated searches eBay for some potential options.

·4 months agoI didn't get any this morning either....hardly something to worry about since I only look at a few of them and they are mostly items from sellers who chronically do the end/relist thing so these "new" listings in the alert are the same items over and over again.
I have one saved search that I get an alert once per week of the same item and this has been going on for probably a year or more.
On the topic of emails, I just sold an item a few minutes ago and received 8 notification for the same sale. Obviously the system is having some issues at the moment, not a surprise when the system is sending out MILLIONS (maybe Billions?) of messages every day.
FYI - I have an uptick in email glitches lately and it's from many different sources not in any way related to eBay.

·4 months agoeMail can be notoriously unreliable due to various choke points.
As above, check spam filters, if you haven't white list the address.
