Buyer said there was an empty package even though they responded to the delivered items and took photos. The buyer said my sealed photos were not legitimate after opening them despite my evidence to the contrary from a state museum email back from the reference department exactly describing the items to a T. The buyer was rewarded $400 out of $600 by doing so. Left me really bad feedback in the process and blocked me. The buyer is reputable but I know he already committed fraud by selecting "The buyer provided documentation from law enforcement showing they received an empty box" without providing a shred of evidence.

OP7 months agoI know the box is on it's way and the buyer has a long history on ebay. The fact remains, he is trying to steal money by claiming on the 2/3 orders that they were not delivered "with police affidavit" (when none of the such exists of course) when he documented proof in the form of photos when he submitted with the claim.
Like I said the, the buyer can claim they are reproductions but they can not say I sent an empty box to them when their photos and statements prove otherwize.

OP7 months agoIt was inad, because of a suspected fraudulent item by the buyer. It was clearly of the age (ie: the tanning and natural aging) and has provenance. ebay responded to an immediate case for one set and issued a label that was a separate order than the other two that I shipped together with the one and the buyer asked me whether to ship them together I said yes. I tried to combine the tracking numbers with both orders and it said that I did not accept the return a day later. I contacted ebay because I do not want to be known for not accepting returns. The gentleman explained that I was not going to be found in fault per his notes because he could not update the tracking or purchase a label either. ... later that night I was able to purchase the label, so I did willingly as it was feb 2nd and the day I needed to accept the return anyway. Next thing you know I get this... "The buyer provided documentation from law enforcement showing they received an empty box"

·7 months agoI am so confused.
What kind of dispute was this?
Not as described or empty box?
Was this a ebay dispute or a credit card dispute?
Why was the buyer refunded $400 out of $600?
Who refunded this money?
Why is the "reputable buyer" committing fraud?
