Buyer said item wasn’t received
I sold some gold and buyer said wasn’t received but tracking said it was and signed for. They opened a case and I entered tracking and it closed. Now EBay has an open case pending and put fund on hold and won’t let me respond.

·2 years agoBuyer probably is trying for a second win on a phony not received claim. Probably opened a chargeback with their credit card. Nasty buyer. In item not received claim if tracking shows delivered you should win that case as well. Go to ebay for facebook as other poster mentioned if you run into any problems whatsoever so they can correct any mistakes that might happen with this. You are not going to give a nasty buyer a free gold item.

"They opened a case and I entered tracking and it closed." Who is "they", do you mean the buyer? Who closed the case? Was it Ebay? Did the buyer file the case on Ebay or did they file a case through their financial institution AKA Chargeback?
See, if Ebay closes a case, they don't typically re-open it. Is it possible that there were two cases. One the buyer opened in Ebay and Ebay closed it because tracking shows delivered? Then the buyer didn't like that and went and opened a Chargeback?
I also don't understand why you can't respond to whatever type of case this is that is currently opened.
I know this can be confusing. You may have to contact Ebay to help you sort out what kind of claims you have going on here and what your next step should be.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

This is what I call the "eBay step in" as the buyer has requested an appeal from the case and eBay is reviewing the case to determine what happens next. This takes around 48 hours at most.

·2 years agoNot much you can do, you will have to wait until eBay decides what to do. Hopefully eBay will find in your favor. Since your buyer said they did not receive the item I would make a police report and a USPS report.

·2 years agoIf you won the case your funds should be taken off hold. I'm not sure how long that will take.
