Buyer Returned wrong items
I sold to a buyer and they returned a completely different item that were damaged. Ebay took over a month to review the case and did'nt listen at all to my complaints they found in the buyers favor because they said it was delivered to my address. Makes me want to stop selling because of their decision to always find the buyer to be right. So I am out of twenty dollars and cannot understand why they didnt honor my complaint

·4 months agoThese things and many other things like this have happened to me over the course of my 23+ years selling on eBay. IF, and that is a big IF, you want to waste a bunch of time on the phone eventually you might be able to get a hold of someone in America and explain things to them. You will need pics of your item and what they sent back and you might have to tell your story more times than you'd like, but you can eventually get a supervisor that can ACTUALLY do something for you. It's is difficult, time consuming and sometimes just a waste of time, but I usually always get it either resolved or at least a credit to my account. Sometimes just because of the principal of the whole stupid situation I MUST HAVE IT RESOLVED! (so I don't quit until it is)

Anything from you can be doctored or fabricated, that's what ebay will think. So it always comes down to your word against the buyer's. And when there is even a smidge of doubt with your claim, ebay will side with the buyer.
This is how ebay is. If you can't get used to that or adjust your practices, maybe it is a good idea to stop selling.
Think of it as ebay is your parent, and you and your buyer are the fighting, bickering kids. And the buyer is the favorite child of the two of you. There's no way either of you can prove your claims. If ebay didn't see how the whole fight started, they are always going to side with the favorite child.

You've been on eBay for over 20 years and have sold 21K items and you are considering quitting because a buyer ripped you off for $20.00? I hope you aren't serious.
It would make a lot more sense if you would put a few cents from each item you sell into a virtual rainy day fund just to cover losses when things like this happen.
