Buyer request payment method change 10 minutes after purchase
Hi...These are messages buyer left for me 10 minutes after purchase. Hi. I made the payment through a company account, but I bought personal items. This might cause trouble for the finance department. The address for my re-purchase is still the same. You don't need to issue a new order number. 2nd message. Hi, I have a problem with my payment method. Please send refund me. You can relist it and I'll purchase it again. Thank you. So. Should I ship item? Ebay sent email saying funds have been sent.... please someone, let me know thanks mike

·10 months agoIt sounds like the buyer used the company account and then got worried and decided it probably wasn't such a good idea after all. If you don't get a bad feeling about the buyer (how they sound in email, feedback etc.) ... I would go ahead and cancel and relist it for them. And let them know when it's relisted. I've done that before, several times (not for that particular reason) and it's worked out okay.

·10 months agoIf the buyer sent you a cancellation request, I would accept it and they will be refunded. If they just asked you in an email to cancel, I would do so which will refund the buyer. I would definitely not ship since they explained their problem with using a business card. I forgot to add to be sure and use buyer requested cancellation as your reason.
It's up to you if you wish to relist and allow them to purchase again. Personally, I've had this happen and had no problem upon relist once they figured out which credit card to use.

·10 months agoYou should do what the buyer has asked for, cancel the order, relist, send the buyer a link to the new listing and let them buy/pay again using the method they prefer.
If the buyer used their company card when they were not supposed to then whoever audits that account might do a chargeback as unauthorized.

Now that is an odd story. And I assure you in 25+ years on this site, I've seen a lot of issues. I'm sorry this happened to you.
Now if this was a transaction I was trying to process, I would CANCEL the transaction using the reason to be a problem with the buyer's address. You will then get refunded for all you selling fees, the buyer would get refunded if they paid you anything and now you don't have to worry about this transaction anymore.
You only have THREE days from the claim filled to respond and issue a return shipping label. If you haven't done that in three days, then the buyer can ask Ebay to step in and that almost always end in a buyer's refund.

Before you go and relist this item AFTER you have filed the Cancellation, I would recommend you place this buyer on your BBL [Blocked Buyer List].

The thing you need to go to is second section from the bottom. The Manage your Block Bidder's List.

OP10 months agoShould I wait for money to be put in my bank acct. Before I issue a refund? Or should a cancel now? And let's say credit card buyer used is stolen etc. If I shipped jeans and then the buyer keeps jeans, said he didn't get them, can he do a charge back and will ebay take it out of my bank acct.?

·10 months agoNO. You need to refund a buyer right away and that will always be true when you need to refund a buyer.
Now your money on hold for this transaction should get released to you a little bit [not sure of the timeframe] after you refund the buyer. Now if it doesn't, Contact Ebay and tell them you need those funds that you have already refunded to the buyer released to you.
On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.
