Buyer refused delivery
Not sure what's happening with an item sent by UPS to USA. Has sat in a warehouse for a few weeks and now looks like it's being returned to me (seller, UK). Tracking says "The receiver states the product was not ordered and has refused the delivery". Buyer has not said anything to me about return and I've told him I do not take returns. Item is expensive (£4000+). What is my position when it comes to refunding?

I see you are the UK and I will provide a convenient link to get you back there but I suspect what happened is the carrier contacted the Buyer to issue them an invoice or bill for the tariffs, customs or duty on the item and it was more than they wanted to pay. So they played dumb and refused the package. Here in the US when a Buyer refuses a domestic shipment to them from eBay they lose their eBay Money Back Guarantee and Sellers will refund the item price but not the original shipping paid because the money has already been spent on the round trip shipment of the package.
While Sellers could also not refund the item price they risk the Buyer filing a dispute - charge back with their credit card company and if they win the seller is charged an additional $ 20.00 US for losing the dispute. eBay UK may handle disputes differently. community.ebay.co.uk
