Please advise on how to handle this situation?
Please see our messages from last night. Note: After we started communicating, the Customer Confirms in a message to me they had the wrong address in the system.

·9 months agoWhen and if item is returned...buyer can open an eBay claim and you can refund them.
I wouldn't ship out an item again...
Only refund when item is returned in your hands...and there is an open claim.
Refunding without an eBay claim open might get an 'out of stock' ding like I got last year.

·9 months agoNever change the address from the one shown on the order (that does not have to be an address registered to the buyer's account, they can input any address at checkout, but you must ship to whatever address is provided to you by eBay and no other address).
If you got a message from a user asking you to change the shipping address for a recent sale, FIRST check that the message actually came from your buyer. If it is from a different user account, report the message and ignore it, and ship to the address on the order.
If it is from your buyer, let them know you can cancel the order and let them repurchase the item with the correct address.
BTW, not only can we not see your account or messages, but you are not allowed to post other user's names or usernames here. I suggest you edit that out of your post.

·9 months agoI would recommend that you refund the buyer, selecting problem with buyer's address, and then the buyer can repurchase the item. Do not ship to an address that differs from the one on the transaction. Blocking them might be a little harsh. People do make honest mistakes.

·9 months agoNo one here can see your messages. This platform is for ebay members to discuss things. If you've already shipped the item, they need to update their address with whatever shipping service you used. If you have not shipped it, I'd cancel, tell them to update their address and they can then purchase it when you relist it. If it gets sent back, that 's on them. This is sometimes a scam to get you to change the address before shipping. Change the address and you lose all seller protections. If they start going round and round with you or give you a hard time, it is probably a scam. Then I would cancel the sale and block them.
