Buyer makes "Best Offer" from a country I do not ship to?
Never had this happen before & wondering if any other sellers out there have experienced this?
I ship exclusively within the United States and just received a "best offer" from a potential buyer from another country.
In the past, I have received inquiries/messages from potential sellers requesting that I include their country as they were disallowed from purchasing or even bidding or making an offer.
I have never encountered this. Is this an eBay glitch?
Was all set to accept this offer when I noticed the postal code was odd. Wow.
Any insights are more than welcome & thanks in advance.

·1 year agoAnd you're positive that the buyer is not using a freight forwarder that IS located in the US?

·1 year ago"I regret that I do not ship to (your country). If you have a contract with a freight forwarder in the USA, I would be happy to ship to that address."
Never ignore a potential sale.
EIS and freight forwarders are the second safest addresses available to US sellers.
Your responsibility for delivery ends at the plant door.
However there are four countries I would not ship to even with that extra Seller Protection.
Two are for political reasons, and two because they have awful delivery systems.

·1 year agoJust for a little more clarity, IF the package is accepted at the Ebay processing center, then the seller's responsibility ends. Ebay takes over from there. But the package has to be packaged well and accepted by the Ebay center for processing.

·1 year agoAre you enrolled in EIS program? That is still considered shipping in the US, unless you have specifically block all other countries, an international buyer can have their items shipped through the EIS or even to a FF. Both are considered shipping in the US

·1 year agoFor this to happen means the buyer has a primary ship to address in the USA as @kensgiftshop has stated.

My concern/hesitation is that the actual best offer received had a designated ship-to address as being overseas. That sort of surprised me.
That's all.
Just wondering how that offer could possibly go through without the address/location being switched to one that I ship to.
But I greatly appreciate everyone's insight & feedback on this matter.

·1 year agoYou should check with the buyer, Sometimes buyers from another country have it shipped to someone in the U.S.A., & then they ship it to the customer, When they do that I have them sign for delivery.

OP1 year agoI understand, but as an eBay member based in another country, they were able to make the offer using their own eBay account which clearly defines the country they are in.
How did this even happen?

·1 year agoThat is odd that it say you would ship to a different country. That I haven't seek. Can you post a screen shot of that so we can see it please.
