Buyer hasn't paid. Ebay says you have to now send invoice first. Can't send international invoice.
Does something magically appear on the 4th day? Why did they make it so hard to at least see if you could open up a case? Buyers have no problem opening up cases. Oh and what ever happened to ebay saying best offers would require immediate payment? Ebay fails to communicate with buyers once again. He probably saw 2 s&h charges(I charge for shipping) and backed out.

·3 years agoWhen the listing is over, the buyer sees an invoice from which they then pay.
If you want immediate payment, I believe you need to list fixed price, immediate payment required, IPR.
WHO saw two shipping and handling charges, the buyer? Did he buy two separate items?

·3 years agoOn the seller's side, you don't open up a case; you do a cancellation. After four full days from the time and date of sale, you'll see an additional option appear as a reason for cancellation: Buyer Did Not Pay. That's the one you're waiting to see, as cancelling with that reason earns the deadbeat buyer an Unpaid slap.
Question on the title of your thread here: Where does eBay say that you have to send an invoice first? I never send an invoice except under special circumstances (e.g. combining shipment of items having separate Shipping charges), because invoicing will lock in the Shipping charge to be that required to send to the buyer's eBay address. If he chooses a different address at payment time, you will have to eat any overage incurred to ship it there, which would otherwise be covered by a Calculated Shipping arrangement if you had not sent an invoice manually.

·3 years agoBuyers don’t see 2 shipping and handling charges for any of the eBay international services, the cost is automatically combined, Did you check that particular listing to see if there is a shipping cost for the buyers country? You can do that by going into the listing as if you were a buyer, click on the shipping/payment tab and changing your location. If there is no eBay international shipping price to that country then cancel using problem with address. It’s not fair to the user to get an unpaid item strike when they can’t pay even if they want to.
What item is it and where is the buyer?

·3 years agothe answer to your question. "Does something magically appear on the 4th day?"
as a matter of fact it does. you can have a look at the options on day 2 and day 3.they are the same options
after 96 hours it will appear like magic. the option to cancel for non payment will appear.
I can send an invoice any time I want, it has little to do with it being international
I think it has more to do with a buy it now VS an auction
sending an invoice can extend the time before the option for canceling for non payment appears.
sending an invoice again is just redundant..ebay sends the non payers plenty of reminders
I have many repeat buyers and prefer to not utilize the automatic NON payer cancel
many of my repeat customers continue to bid and win over 8-12 days
I always like to offer combined shipping to my repeat customers and having the 4 day automatic cancel woud really put a damper on that

The option to cancel for nonpayment appears on the fifth day (96 hours after the listing ends). If invoices have been sent to the buyer, it will be 96 hours after the last invoice.
eBay has enrolled some buyers into the immediate payment required on offers.

In your Buyer Requirements, be sure to set immediate payment on offers.

·3 years agoSlight clarification: Only invoices for combined shipping reset the clock. "Reminder" invoices do not.

·3 years agoThe option should be there on the 4th day to the exact time the ad ended. 96 hours and give it a minute or two after the ad started.

I'm unclear why this reply was directed to me. I didn't ask about when the option to cancel for nonpayment would appear.
