Buyer from UK - works in Kuwait, but the address is fishy - NEED HELP!
Hi everyone,
I’m a private seller (from Slovenia) on eBay.de and would like some advice.
I sold an RC car to an international buyer. The buyer says he lives in UK but works in the Kuwait, and the shipping address provided is a commercial/warehouse address in West Drayton (UB7 0LB).
Before shipping, I also discovered a broken rim on the RC car. I informed the buyer immediately via eBay messages, sent photos, and he acknowledged it.
Payment would be through eBay managed payments, and I would ship with tracked and signed international shipping. However, I’ve found community warnings online about this postcode being used in marketplace scams, which makes me unsure.
My concern is:
Even with tracking, am I actually protected as a seller if the buyer later opens an “item not as described†case?
Does seller protection still apply if the buyer’s account location (Kuwait) doesn’t match the shipping address (UK business/warehouse)?
- Can a buyer somehow "scam" me out of my item+money even if the tracking is provided? Only thing internationaly I have is a tracking code.
I haven’t shipped yet and want to make the safest decision before proceeding.
Any advice from experienced sellers would be appreciated. Thanks!

·9 months agoIt's probably a freight forwarder.
They collect packages for International buyers, then make one shipment to them.
You'll find all kinds of negative comments for freight forwarders, so you can't go by them.
