Buyer claims item not received - but tracking shows delivered
Long story short:
I'm a Singapore based seller who sold a card to a US based buyer.
Tracking shows that item has been delivered on 27th June 2023.
Buyer claims he has yet to receive it. I adviced him to speak to his building manager/flat mates/neighbours, check CCTV etc.
On 29th June, i received this message from buyer " Yes I believe my post office messed up. They put it in a place that requires a key. But gave the key to someone else. Someone has my package."
He has since opened a case. What is likely to happen in this case? I feel for the buyer but at the same time I feel like I've fulfilled my end of the bargain by delivering the parcel to his address. Doesn't help that his story is very confusing too.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

·3 years agoYou need to respond to case by providing tracking# proving that item was delivered. When you do that...case will automatically close.
Sellers are NOT responsible for items that were stolen after delivery.

OP3 years agoThanks for the reply. I do have USPS tracking that shows item was delivered, but i realize it only shows City/State/Postal Code. Would that be sufficient proof for ebay?

USPS does not display the full address information in their tracking (name, street address) but the tracking information showing the item as delivered should be sufficient for eBay as long as you shipped the item to the address the buyer had associated with their account at the time of purchase.
