Yes you can and you should refund the buyer immediately. There should be no hold up on your behalf on this. I know that this can cause a bit of a hardship on you temporarily but you need to process it before Ebay forces the refund from you. That you do not want to happen.

Now you will have to use your back up funding source to pay for this refund initially. But once you process the refund, you can then contact Ebay and ask them to take the hold of the funds when the buyer paid and then you can order a Payout once the hold is removed.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

·11 months agoThe Inogen machine you listed cannot be sold on eBay because it is a prescription only medical device. Did you even bother to check to see if you could sell it on eBay? Apparently not and it looks like eBay may have pulled the listing because the description page is no longer there.
And now you say the item was stolen?

·11 months agoYou're supposed to have a credit card on file with ebay/managed payments for situations just like this. The buyers refund would come out of your credit card.

·11 months agoYou have to refund them using your own money. I know, crazy.
Been going on for years and eBay has yet to provide a means for sellers to force those held funds to be immediately released, and returned to the buyers, without having to dig into their own pockets.

you could try to reach out to customer service and have them refund the buyer.
you get ding'd no matter how it works out
