·5 months agoYour current listing is auction format with best offer. If you make a fixed price listing you have to make sure you have it set to "Buy it Now" instead of "Auction".

·5 months agoWhen you create an auction if you decide to have a buy it now attached to the auction your buy it now price much be 30% higher than the starting price. Click "Fixed listing" format. You have selected "Auction." When you click Fixed listing you can then sell the item at whatever price you want and the buyer can purchase it now.

·5 months agoEbay has two listing formats -- Buy It Now or Auction. With the auction format you are also permitted to add a Buy It Now price, in case a buyer doesn't want to wait for the auction to end to purchase. That amount must be 30% higher than your starting price.
If you want to offer the fixed price of your choice, use the Buy It Now format. Your current listing format is an auction and not a Buy It Now listing. It is a bit confusing since ebay uses the same term in both formats.

Not sure what screen you are seeing because if it is a BIN, eBay wouldn't tell you that your price needs to be 30% higher.
You have those hearing aids listed at auction. Auctions are only good for highly collectible or sought after or very rare collectible items, not for items that many other sellers are offering. If you search your hearing aids, you will see that the best format for those is Buy It Now and your pricing needs to be competitive. There is no auction feeding frenzy for those hearing aids. Buyers want immediate gratification; they want to buy it now and have it shipped promptly. They don't want to wait a week for an auction to end to see if they won.
You are not starting off very well. You have only sold one item and already received a negative for it. Buyers can see that and it could deter buyers from buying from you.

OP5 months agoI only have it listed as auction because that was the only thing that it would allow me to list it as. I have toggled auction and BIN back-and-forth and I leave it on BIN and it still tells me that it must be 30% higher when it’s not even the auction I have auction turned off and have done this multiple times yet the same message appears when I attempt to list it. As for the negative feedback, it is now removed due to the buyer, asking for it to be canceled and then changed his mind again a little while later after I’ve already canceled it and was butt hurt over it, but Ebay sided with me and it is not removed, but thank you for your concern

·5 months agoYou cannot change an existing listing from an auction to a fixed-price listing (what is labeled Buy It Now). You would have to end it and relist it to do that.
It is somewhat confusing that Buy It Now refers to two different things on the listing form. Here is the place you need to change it when creating a new listing:

Glad you got it worked out and that eBay removed the negative.
"Butt hurt" is a term I'm not familiar with; don't think I have ever heard it. But it might come in handy sometime.
