Business Policy allows eBay International Shipping - Listing Not Allowing International Shipping
eBay customer support can't figure this one out, so perhaps someone here can shed some light.
I have four identical auctions using the same shipping policy which allows for eBay International Shipping. However, one is being restricted to the United States. I was only made aware of this by a Canadian customer who was unable to bid.
Listing with International shipping that works: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305844958645
Listing with International shipping that is restricted to the USA: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305844958647
What is troubling is that I have four more auctions scheduled to go live tomorrow, three of the four have this same issue. If the items are the same, are in the same category, and are using the same business policy, why would international shipping be inconsistent?

OP1 year ago@pjcdn2005 @brightlightbookseller Interesting. I searched other, non film, items I have currently listed where the item name contains LOT. One out of ten was also afflicted. This makes no sense, but I don't think it was ever going to. FWIW I never say Lot of as prepositions takes up valuable title characters.
Given this seems to be an issue others have encountered before, has an eBay employee ever said why this occurs?

·1 year agoI don't recall if eBay has ever been brought into a post about it or if they are aware of the problem. It is one of those things that seems to only affect some sellers.

·1 year agoThere doesn't appear to be any logical reason that one has EIS and one doesn't.
I have read that in 'some' cases, eBay will not show EIS if the work "lot" is in the title. I realize that it is in both titles but you might want to take it out of the other titles to see if it makes a difference.

·1 year ago@pjcdn2005,. I had done some testing and "Lot of" would block it on our items, but not just "Lot". Other sellers had different experiences, it seemed. But it's definitely possible that's the cause, and is probably worth testing if removing "Lot" from the title would fix it, if the item titles can still be edited, @sanfordsherman.

I can confirm that issue with EIS. I had several listings that had the word "Lot" in the title and were not eligible for EIS. I edited the listings, removed the word "Lot" form the title, revised the listing and it was EIS eligible. I ran several tests on other listings adding and removing the word lot from the titles. Any listing that had the word Lot in the title was not EIS eligible.
Oddly enough it is also case sensitive. While the use of "Lot" makes it non EIS eligible the use of "LOT" does not. I am assuming maybe it thinks the LOT is an acronym. Regardless I just quite using either in the title of my listings. These are the things I wish eBay would fix as opposed to changing the message system or the seller hub. I am more concerned about functional issues than I am aesthetic ones.

·1 year agoEbay takes into account the category and the specifics of the listing when it determines whether to allow EIS to export an item. A bot determines whether the item is permitted by the receiving country, and whether export controls may exist in the US.
If you provide the item number or a link to the listing, the denizens of the forum can guess.

OP1 year agoURLs to the listings are provided in my initial post. To reiterate, the two listings are identical with the exception of subtly different item names and images.
