Bulk listing query
Summary: gy35-18 explains eBay's variation listing feature, which allows similar items to be grouped under one listing with each item having its own price and quantity. They caution against grouping unrelated items just to save on fees. Additionally, gy35-18 suggests testing eBay's tool for a small number of cards before considering third-party software to manage larger listings efficiently.
I often see bulk entries under a single listing. The most common is sellers with baseball cards. Their listing allows you to scroll through and select all of the cards you want and then you can go to the cart, checkout and shipping is automatically combined. The items listed are different names, cards and prices. What is that type of listing called and how does one get the ability to list dis-similar items with varying prices into a single listing. Is there an eBay function for this or is this all third party software and, if so, can anyone who is using said software give me the name of it and a quick synopsis on how difficult it is to learn to use. Would appreciate it.

·1 month agoas a buyer I really like when a seller has properly used a variation listing.
For instance 10-32 hex head machine screws in various lengths and package sizes is a excellent use of a variation listing.
As a buyer I also really dislike when a variation is misused and do not even bother to look at it if the gallery picture does not match what I am looking for.
Also my opinion is that if you can not keep all of the variations in stock most of the time you should not use a variation listing.

·1 month agoWhat you’re describing is generally called an eBay variation listing. eBay allows closely related items to be grouped under one fixed price listing, with each variation having its own quantity and price.
For baseball cards, though, the cards need to be related in a way that fits eBay’s variation rules. You can’t simply combine completely unrelated items into one listing just to save on listings or fees.
eBay supports variation listings directly, but creating a large number of variations can be tedious. There are also third party tools that make the setup easier. 3Dsellers, for example, supports variation listings and CSV imports, so you can build or update larger variation listings from a spreadsheet.
If you’re dealing with hundreds of cards, I’d probably start by testing eBay’s own variation listing feature with a small group first, then consider software if the manual setup becomes too time consuming.
