BULK DRAFT LISTING WITH SPREADSHEET - LOOKING FOR LATEST INFORMATION
I have searched the fourums here for information about using the Bulk Listing tools and the latest talk seems to be from mid 2024.
Does anyone know of a good thread that has information about this already?
If not, does anyone have insight they can offer about the process?
I have been sucessful with uploading a CSV with the 11 fields ebay offers on their template and I have been sucessful in following some suggestions here to add additional fields to the CSV; however some fields are still a mystery.
If anyone in interesting in discussing, I am open and thankful for any insight.

Shipscript has had some medical issues and is no longer answering questions (we all miss her)..... you might try posting on the Tools Board.....(go up top and hover over Buying/selling)....... I've seen some answers there on the question........

It's not clear to me if you're saying Most Sellers here don't bulk upload; do you mean they aren't using any bulk upload method and are creating one listing at a time, or do you mean there is another method people are using?

Yes, I mean most people don't use any bulk upload method and create listings one at a time. My company has around 7,800 listings currently and none were bulk uploaded. Most sellers on these boards have fewer listings, and even if they don't, they're not usually uploading in bulk, they've just built up a lot of listings over time. Those that have done bulk uploads are more likely to be checking the Tools section that dhbookds mentioned, though.

OP10 months agoFor context, for any that are interested, I am on a quest to automate my whole process using "AI" - I put that in quotes because I have my reservations about that naming, but whatever they want to call it is fine, I know the truth. I was an "AI" denier until a few weeks ago. I don't see not using it now.

·10 months agoI can understand that, and I'm not fully anti-AI, but I also have seen first-hand that AI can lie and completely invent information that is not based in reality, so while I don't discourage you from testing it out, please remember to verify anything it tells you, and that you are still responsible for your eBay listings so it's in your best interest to make sure nothing you put together via AI gives customers the wrong impression. We've seen that happen to other sellers too many times here on these forums.
How many listings are you intending to put up in bulk, and are they all items you have in your possession?

OP10 months agoYes, all items I want to list I own and are in my posession.
How many do I intend to bulk list with AI? Well with AI assiting me, all of the. My estimate of how many I have to list; 2500 to 3000 quite big to very small and a broad range of categories.
When I list items I am mosty a less is more person. I let the pictures describe the item.
We will see how it goes. I have a solid foundation built and I will be putting it into place starting tonight.

·10 months agoAre you looking to compete with the existing bulk list apps or just doing one on your own? I want to bulk list soooo bad (it's my nature) but I have been too busy to set the sheet up. I have been pondering what I want to do with the image hosting as well (I have my own server space but just kicking around ideas). When I get that done then I, like you I am sure, will run fast and hard with especially media.
What you really need to look at is Merchant Onboarding.

I'm not looking to compete with any bulk listing apps, I'm not sure I even know of any. I know there's cross listing apps or programs. This is just for me and my crazy empire of sourced items. All packed away nice but not a single item sells that I don't list for some reason.
Ebay provides a template you can fill out and it imports 11 parts of the listing; its the other parts I need to find information about. At this point I can't set my shipping or return policy, I can't set dimesnions or weight that can be picked up for shipping costs, I'm having an issue with it accepting I am in the USA or anywhere within the USA, there's a few more I have to enter by had but you can bulk edit those. I will get to the bottom of it.

·10 months agoMost sellers here do not bulk upload listings with a spreadsheet, which is why you don’t see it discussed often. If you have specific questions, some of us either know some of the answers or can help find them. @shipscript has typically been one of the most knowledgeable I’ve seen, if I’m remembering correctly.
