Bionicle figures and when to sell
I accidentally stumbled on to the market for complete Bionicle figures while cleaning out my kids' closets. I have sold lots and incomplete sets, but am holding off on the complete ones . I am trying to figure out if the holiday season is the best time for selling these or is the market pretty much the same year round? Thanks in advance for your advice!

·2 years agoI don't understand why you would want to hold off listing anything unless you are trying to conserve your free 250 listings. List it and forget about it. If someone wants it and it is the right price eventually it will sell.

·2 years agoThe holiday season does cause a bump in demand, but the holiday season also causes a bump in supply, especially for common examples. And on Ebay, a bump in supply often results in price cutting by sellers who need cash, and this year we can expect lots of sellers who need holiday cash,

·2 years agoI sell quite a few Legos and it all depends. I do see bumps during the holiday season generally for the more common type sets but I have sold a lot of older collectible type sets year round. Most of those are in the Castle, Pirate and Star Wars series.
I also list on a number of other venues and pretty much see the same trends on those forums as well.

OP2 years ago@dbfolks166mt Thanks for your input! My kids had a lot of the Star Wars sets when they were young. Now, all I have are incomplete pieces because they liked to take apart and make their own stuff! Maybe I 'll try assembling some of them back to complete sets.

My situation exactly except it spanned my kids as well as the grandkids. 😀 There is a site called Bricklink where you can bring up a set and get a complete parts list for any set. I use it frequently and I have also ordered parts from that site when I have been unable to find a piece while reconstituting a set.
