I HAD A BUYER LIE THREE TIMES AND IN HIS OWN WORDS SAID HE ORDERED BY MISTAKE. EBAY WILL NOT REMOVE THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK EVEN AFTER I OFFERED TO REFUND THE MONEY AFTER HE PAID FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING SINCE IT WAS HIS MISTAKE. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.. THAT ONLY HAVE FEELINGS FOR THE BUYER.. THE SELLER WILL NEVER GET A FAIR CHANCE EVER AGAIN ON EBAY. C'mon people. No need to make fun of the guy's font or spelling. He's clearly upset about the way he's treated by eBay and their policies. Why make him more angry with insensitive comments and remarks?

We all know that eBay's introduction of AI descriptions was going to become problematic since there were no "fail-safes" in place for those who wanted to experiment with it. To me, it's no different than seniors who are introduced to the internet who end up getting scammed out of their life-savings. So, it's understandable why some may continue to trust whatever new feature or policy eBay introduces as only beneficial without risk.

I completely disagree with that. There is a fail safe in place. It is called the SELLER. Whether AI generated or typed out by the seller, the seller remains responsible for what their listings say. When using AI, it is the Seller's responsibility to make sure what it stated is correct. Blaming the AI for a mistake is simply inaccurate, the seller made the mistake by not catching the error.

This has been true since 2008, when eBay introduced the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.

This may be a recent issue for you, but IMHO this is nothing new for eBay as a whole.

In his listing he stated that this item will fit all 380SL and 560SL Mercedes. It did not! When i contacted him he stated,that he only supplied the pictures and the listing description was AI generated. He had plenty of opportunity to make this right and let me return it, but he refused. Now i am stuck with a $120,- purchase (including shipping and tax) which i can't use at all. In the listing it clearly states "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing." He blames AI. Do not trust !

I included the exact model number of the part with the 14 pictures that showed exactly what he was getting... his excuse was that he did not know what he needed till it arrived and did not fit. I did my part.

Pictures are to SUPPORT your description, NOT override what your description says. When there is a conflict inside your listing [pics vs description or title], it is solely the fault of the seller.

Your part is to create an accurate and consistent listing. Your title matches your description. Pics are to support both of those.

I does appear that your buyer simply did not read the listing correctly. Because you offer No Returns, if the buyer files a proper Buyer's remorse return you can deny it or process it. The buyer would pay for return shipping and you could withhold original shipping [if stated shipping, not free shipping] from the refund amount.

Your buyer is mad because you would not allow them to return for refund. I would contact Ebay and see if they will remove the FB because you were within your seller's right to refuse the return. And hopefully they will do that, as your remark is very harmful to you as well. It makes you look bad, especially in all caps which denotes yelling in the written word.

Frankly, unless someone can see something I can't........and since the seller has a no return policy, I think he has grounds for an appeal.

That said..........I don't know exactly what the Motors guarantee consists of......or anything about Motors stuff...so hesitate to recommend that.........

Oh, man - spam musubi. I was in Hawaii for the Honolulu Marathon last December, and despite the fact that I generally don't eat meat, I had my hands on that spam musubi ASAP - which I made sure NOT to eat before the race but saved for after. I grew up with Spam and actually like it. It's also real tasty with good mustard on rye bread. We fried ours in bacon fat from the ever-renewing pot of grease on the corner of the range - it's the way podunk small town people cooked in those days. It's amazing I'm still alive lol.

FYI my Aunt, who was the best cook I've ever known, taught me to keep bacon grease in the refrigerator. It holds longer and tastes better. It tends to sour a little when kept out.

This is the Community forums, so you are talking to your fellow sellers here. Yelling at us is not necessary to make the point that you are upset. All caps means you are yelling.

What you shared here certainly sound frustrating to be sure. But there aren't enough details to really know what transpired between you and the buyer, but then we really don't need to know. If you are upset enough by this you have every right to leave. I wish you nothing but the best in whatever you decide to do.

Your responses to both of the negatives you have likely does more harm that the fb the buyer left for you.

And if you did use the AI to write your description, you are still responsible as a seller for what it says. So if there is a conflict between your pics and the description, that is on the seller, not the buyer.

yeah but then i checked his response to the customer it seemed crazy and pretty much just accept the return. any business on this planet needs to accept that there will be shrink or loss or things that don't work out and will cost you money at some point. it's ebay just accept the return. it might suck it might seem unfair. just accept the return. there is a metric that ebay keeps track of when they have to force the return. you could just do it and save the hassle. I would imagine this helps you out in the algorithm. there is nowhere on this planet that you can YELL AT PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU MADE THE MISTAKE AND YOU ARE NOW BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE BUT YOURSELF FOR MAKING A MISTAKE and expect to be taken seriously. simmer down now.
