Best offer is not working
Buyer sent me a best offer. I accepted. The system shows that I sent them the best offer and now I have to wait 4 days for them to respond? What is going on? Should be paid for right away.

·5 months agoI do agree when a customer accepts an offer that they should pay for it immediately, But I'm not the one making the rules or policies.

·5 months agoNope, that's the way it works. A buyer has 96 hours to pay you if they send you an offer and you accept it. Your item should still show in your listings and is still available to other buyers.

·5 months agoThey have 4 days to pay but the item is still up for sale for other buyers to purchase that item. Best offers are working the way they should from what I know of as of now.

·4 months agoeBay with their trash system. they let a buyer make an offer (with no intention to pay). i have it set to pre-payment confirmed before a bid can be made. eBay/UPS calculated shipping. Accepted the low-ball offer, and then this buyer complained the shipping was too much, and for me to adjust it...well, i can't. With his no pay offer accepted, the item goes into purgatory for 4 days - you can't cancel it, you can't refund it, you can't modify it...it just sits out there as an "active item". i ended the item, blocked the bidder, and relisted it. i kind of expect to be paid when an offer gets accepted...if a buyer is going to hack the way eBay is designed, i don't want that buyer.
to expand...i checked the auction's ship-to quote to the buyer's address (UPS ground), and it undercharged him for actual ship charges by about 4 dollars.
