Being Charged an Ad General Fee on Non-Promoted Items??

I have been charged an Ad general fee on items that I specifically did not promote, because I knew they would sell quickly without promotion. However, I still see an Ad General Fee on at least two items that I know I did not promote! I investigated this more and tried to look up the item in my "ended" promoted campaigns and it was not there either. I know I for sure did not promote these items. Has anyone else experienced this or know what is going on? And if so, how do I connect with Ebay to fix this issue and/or refund the Ad fee if possible? Thank you!

·1 month agoI just noticed this myself. I didn't even know what this thing was. Suddenly. They take $35 for something. I knew didn't even know about this is getting ridiculous

I am trying to dispute it, but Ebay sent me to someone that would not even allow me to send pdf documents to show that the item was not promoted and that my net proceeds didn't include a promotion when the item sold. It seems to be a deceptive practice by Ebay without a clear customer service appeal option.

To see what listing YOU promoted. eBay doesn’t promote your listings for you. If you previously had promotions running on that item and someone clicked on it. Then you turned off promoted listings for that item you will be charged the promotion fee because the buyer clicked on the listing previously. It’s called the halo effect.
