The Lara Croft for $499....and then saying that was only a deposit amount and it is actually $4,499 and you won't ship until the rest is paid? Yeah that's not how eBay works, you tried to circumvent eBay policy and you got caught.
You are done selling on Bay forever...

OP8 months ago4 separating ebay lists, each list each delivery box with its tracking number. There is no violation on this. That helps and buyers paying in installments, and always after fair agreement.
shire123
·8 months agoYou just don't get it. Those installment payments (even if agreed to by the buyer) are outside of ebay. Totally against ebay rules.
You are done on ebay.
lacemaker3
·8 months agoYes, that does violate eBay policy. You're not allowed to require buyers to make additional purchases, or agree to terms outside the listing. It doesn't matter if the additional purchases are listed on eBay or not.
The purchase price on the listing has to include everything described and/or shown in the listing.
You should stop arguing about this. It isn't a debate. eBay implemented the maximum $500 value policy for a reason. You were trying to defeat the policy, and doing that violates the policy.

·8 months agoSo, in trying to circumvent one rule ($500), you broke another inadvertently? and never meant to avoid fees?
How about listing in the guitar category........just a "mistake" on both items........?
Ebay got this one right...........

·8 months ago@fidelio007007 's refusal to answer the question is very telling.
Although there are cases in which I believe ebay erred in suspending sellers, this is absolutely not one of those instances.

·8 months agoEven if what you're describing was okay .... that Laura Croft statue was $4500. So if you had a $500 limit to U.S. buyers, then it wouldn't just be four separate listings, it would be NINE listings.
And why does only ONE show up with a Sold date? Because YOU ARE LYING about this "multiple separate listings" thing. -You told the buyer to send the remaining $4000 to your Paypal or whatever, and they REPORTED you. That is why your account is closed.
broto_64
·8 months agoSo the question again, after buyer deposits $500 how are you collecting the other $4000?
I think @gurlcat said it right, the rest of us know it too, in fact it didn't take any of us long to come to that conclusion (granted I did read three or four initial replies before the light bulb came on because I can be a bit dim at times but there's no doubt in my mind that this is the reason you were NARU'd).

·8 months agoDoes it makes sense that trying to avoid the $500 limit is NOT acceptable to ebay?

OP8 months agoSame items was on ebay.uk too with notmal price,so there was not to avoid sthng.

·8 months agoThat's not true...you were avoiding ebay's $500 limit policy to the US. You basically told eBay to go "to shove your policies, I do what I want" .... ebay just responded to you. It's best to always know who the 800 pound gorilla in the room is....and it isn't any of us!

Here's just one example of a UK in which your listing shows the same fee circumvention (and circumvention of restrictions):

OP8 months agoHello to all, thanks for the time you spend in my post.
As i see everyone chosen the path that I put 499$ pre-deposit,bla,bla.
All European sellers have forced by ebay law not to be able to list over 500$ value per list if they want to ship to USA.
Simply i list the predeposit, then explain to buyer the situation, and if there is an agreement,i list on ebay other part lists. Ex: Lara croft is 4 boxes. Its box its bill.4 invoices all paid.
Nowhere there is a violation on this.
ps
Always see the problem spherical

·8 months agoEvery part of that is a violation of eBay policy. You’re done for good. If you choose to sell somewhere else, make sure you understand and follow the policies there instead of trying to circumvent them.

You do not get to make your own rules on eBay. You listed two items with a "predeposit" amount as the selling price and then in the description you said that the actual selling price was another amount. Whatever your motive was for doing this (avoiding eBay fees?), it is not allowed. You said you have been on eBay for 15 years so you should have known this. That is why @christworks asked why you did it.
You didn't play by the rules so eBay suspended your account. You have no one to blame but yourself.
fidelio007007
OP8 months agoHello,
No,its because after limitation on European sellers, none can list over 500$(thats why 499$) to ship to USA.
The rest in another list etc.
Probably ebay thought like you and suspended me,but the other option is the truth, and legal

There is no "resolving" a permanent suspension.
A permanent suspension is like DEATH, there is no "resolving" it.

·8 months agoThe OP did the same thing with this listing:
@fidelio007007 You are forever done on eBay. Why would you do this???
fidelio007007
OP8 months agoHello thanks for your reply, what do you mean ,why i would do this?
gurlcat
·8 months ago@fidelio007007 Everyone reading this post knows why you did it. -To avoid paying the majority of fees you would owe to eBay if the buyer paid the full price.
And that is the BEST interpretation of those listings. For all we know, there was some worse kind of scam trap you laid out.

·8 months ago@gurlcat wrote: "For all we know, there was some worse kind of scam trap you laid out."
I guess there is always the possibility, if a buyer actually followed through and paid the full amount, and then if the buyer filed a NAD claim to return the item, OP would only have to refund the "sold" amount, not the full amount.

This probably didn't help.
"TOTAL PRICE IS 1139$,first you complete the predeposit amount, after the full amount paid you get the shipping tracking number."
gurlcat
·8 months agoWow and the eBay listing price was only $499 -guess that was only the "predeposit."
@fidelio007007 What were you thinking?? And how was that supposed to work? -Let me guess, the buyer was supposed to pay you the remaining four thousand dollars outside of eBay, that way you wouldn't have to pay the fees on it?
eBay will let you get away with a couple cancellations, a couple damaged item cases, no problem! But you play with their money, you play with their EMOTIONS. 🤣

So, you are much better off spending that energy on finding a new place to sell your stuff.
