bank statement doesnt show my real name, shows business, ebay says must match for payouts
my bank stattment only says my company name and address.
my ebay account is a business account and is all in the company name, but i am the only stakeholder.
ebay says my ebay name must be shown on the bank statement, which the bank does not do. only the company name as stated previously.
ebay support says they must match but offer no solution. If I change my name on ebay to my company name I am afraid my payouts will be held.
I want to use the instant payout feature with my company debit card and it wont allow it because of this. Ebay payouts sometimes take days, thats not working for me. anyone have a solution?

·2 years agoOpen up a checking account in your name for eBay transactions. Problem solved. It only means a Schedule C for sole proprietorship for taxes... keep things simple.

OP2 years agoTotally and that would work, as a work around.
Like you said, I am trying to keep things simple, which would be the way this used to be. I had a previous business debit card set up and was receiving the instant payment no problem. I just realized it was the wrong card not the one I intended. Neither show my name on bank statements but in the time of me switching them something must have changed. This requirement from ebay makes no sense. Keeping it simple for me would be using 1 account for ebay not 2.

·2 years agoAre you registered on ebay as a Sole Proprietor? If so are you registered with your bank the same as DBA?

OP2 years agoI am a registered LLC in Florida. On ebay it shows as "Sole proprietor/Single-member LLC" and my bank is in my company name but obviously I am the owner of the account and company in everyway. The bank statement just says my company name, not my name on it, which is the same for my other businesses as well.

·2 years agoIf you are an LLC I don't think any bank statement would have anything, but the LLC name on the statement.
Only if you were a sole proprietor would you see your name and the DBA company name both on the statement, and in that case the ebay account has to be registered in your name not the DBA name, even though the DBA name would be the one shown to your buyers and used elsewhere on your ebay account.
If your ebay account name is a character for character exact match for the bank account name, hard to say what's going on. Perhaps you should have selected the business type as corporation rather LLC.
