Automated feedback question
Summary: byrd69er inquired about the repetitive positive feedback comments seen from different buyers on eBay and whether they were automated. inhawaii shared their own experience with auto-feedback, while bdmh-enterprises clarified that sellers can leave automated feedback using eBay's suggested phrases but eBay does not give automated feedback to buyers. albertabrightalberta further explained that sellers have the option to use stored feedback or write custom comments. The discussion centered on understanding how eBay's feedback system works for both buyers and sellers.
I understand that ebay provides automated positive feedback for sellers when buyers do not submit feedback. I've received a few myself.
When viewing the feedback of a potential buyer, several are the same, but they aren't the automated feedback from ebay.....or are they?
Great communication. A pleasure to do business with. Appears several times all from different buyers.
Hope to deal with you again. Thank you. < Appears as four feedback in a row all from different buyers

·1 week agoWhen leaving feedback, sellers have the option of choosing to write their own "custom" feedback or they can choose from one of the "stored" feedbacks that ebay offers.

·1 week agoSeller's can automatically leave feedback for buyers and rotate through several variations. Those are some of the prefilled suggestions eBay gives if seller's don't write their own. I think there's four different ones you'll run across.
eBay does not automatically give any feedback to buyers themselves like sellers get.

·1 week ago · EditedI only see one feedback that reads:
"Hope to deal with you again. Thank you."
My auto-feedback all reads:
"Order delivered on time with no issues"
And it looks like yours does too.

OP1 week agoI get the 'Order delivered on time with no issues' auto feedback. That one makes sense. But why have an auto feedback that says something it can't know, such as 'a pleasure to do business with' ?
I know I know. They can make auto feedback know anything they please.
Oh....and just how the blank did you go from being the greatest ebay seller to the most handsome ebay seller? The second most handsome ebay seller wants to know.
