Authentication System is Utterly Rubbish, Customer Service is A Joke
Sold brand new genuine trainers, had to send to be authenticated, ebay autheticated them as per the description, condition, new etc.
Buyer raises a return saying used, which they wernt.
Ebay allows buyer to raise a return stating they're used, which they were not.
Sent back to authenticator to check item matches what the 1st authenticator sent.
Verified as same item.
Returned trainers to me.
What an absolute joke of a system, 1st they authenticate as new, then they allow them to be returned as used as the reason, this company is becoming a joke now tbh.
What is the point of authentication if you allow people to return items for the very same **bleep** reason why they are Authenticated, its utterly lunacy ebay doesnt even understand the logic here.
Customer services have been an absolute ridiculous joke & have told me no they wont come back to you & we will not deduct your funds, well guess what, they did & charged me for a return label.
I'm sick & tired of this company now, they just change the rules to suit the situation & not one customer service person matches what another states, oh I'll raise a complaint, yeah that'll go in the bin like all of them.
Authentication sucks & it serves no purpose whatsoever
This is why people are leaving ebay as they are fedup with these stupid policies & systems

OP1 year agoThey are authenticators chosen by ebay to work as basically ebay staff, 3rd party or not, ebay follows their reports, they are supposedly trained for this very job, but my point isnt to slight the authenticators, they did their job, its ebay that are allowing returns for the very reason they go to authentication for, they were new trainers & they passed as new as per the full description & pics, so why in hell is ebay allowing returns when they've been checked & verified.
They arrived to the buyer in the same state as sent, so ebay allowed the return even though they were as sold.
Its so idiotic & defies completely any common sense at all.
If you dont want to stick by the authentication report & allow returns that go against this report, then why the hell is the system is place.

·1 year agoActually...these are usually 3rd party authentication employees usually.
I think sneakers are authenticed in L.V. and N.Y.
Someone posted here about where watches were authenticated...Dayton OH and by Stoll & Co. where it is a watch repair shop...it's no secret about where watches go so no need to scratch this as private information.
What was interesting was looking at this authenticated place on Yelp and all these sellers and buyers complaining about them on Yelp.
