Auction versus Buy It Now
I listed an item for Auction and I have one bid at the lowest amount, but then I received a buy it now price that is better. Can I accept the Buy It Now?

·3 years agoYou currently only have one item up for auction and it has one bid. There is no BIN option on the auction because as others have said that went away when the first bid was placed. I am not sure in what format or how you received the BIN offer but I would be suspicious of anyone making a BIN offer on an auction simply because they can enter their own bid. There is the possibility that the BIN offer came from somebody using a guest account and they cannot bid on the auction but that would raise additional questions.
I am not sure how you would or could accept the BIN without ending the current auction and reposting the item and as others mentioned that comes with a price and would be unfair to the current high bidder.

·3 years agoYou cannot add a BuyItNow price once bids have been received.
That said, assuming that we're talking about your signed Todd McFarlane album, you're only two hours into a one-week auction and you've already got one bid, which is excellent. The interested party making an offer is clearly concerned that if they cannot get you to sell to them, the price will rise higher than what they want to pay. Thank them for their interest and invite them to bid instead. You will not be disappointed.

·3 years agoIf you had received a Buy It Now, the auction would have ended and the item would be sold. So I'm guessing you received an offer from a buyer.
You can cancel the bids and end the auction and relist as a Buy It Now, but remember

·3 years agoOnce the buyer purchases at buy it now then the auction ends. Do not end the auction then let the buyer purchase it you will get dinged for canceling the auction. As long as YOU offered the buy it now price the buyer can purchase. You can always modify the listing by adding in buy it now pricing its optional. Keep in mind that the buy it now price has to be at least 30% more than the starting auction pricing. Issue resolved.

·3 years agoI don't think you've received a BIN, as it disappeared with your first bid. Ask your (new) prospective buyer to bid high and bid often. And, yes... quite often, BIN is better than Auctions. Good luck.

·3 years agoFrom eBay Help: "When someone bids, the Buy It Now option usually disappears; however, in the case of reserve price listings, the Buy It Now option remains until the reserve price is met. In some categories, the Buy It Now option may continue to be available after the first bid for a limited time." I think Clothing, at least in the past, is one such category?
