13 years here 60k items sold just when I thought I got all the licks from ebay I could take another new low for ebay today , just got back from having my store on vacation for 5 days and come back to a return opened , a open case for the return and an ebay refund out of my bank account for not responding to the buyer return request while the store was closed for vacation . This kind of stuff keeps making my decision easier to quit selling on here. I dont even get my new part back just a closed ebay case and a $50 loss + shipping which we offered free. This was also a non returnable new item we have sold on ebay for a decade and never an issue just another block head buyer " not as described" whiner! .

·1 month ago@bolensparts-360 You are conflating issues so I'm not sure what really has you upset. The fact that eBay did your job for you or that the person opened a return on a new item that you have set to no returns. You surely know that no returns does not mean no refunds. If you didn't, you know now.
Stop selling here. Go elsewhere. I'm not aware of any reselling platform that does not expect you to take care of your buyers whether you are working or on vacation. If you truly do not want to be bothered while on vacation, end all your items 30 days before you leave.
As others have said, it isn't hard to simply check the app every evening to ensure you do not have anything that needs your attention. I literally was at Monday Night Raw on the front row a couple months back handling eBay stuff between matches.

·1 month ago · Editedit absolutely amazes me that as much as you have sold you did not know that your account needs to be monitored for things like this while on time away. At most all you would have to do is approve returns and possible refund something that was already returned, its not a big deal, check once per day to make sure everything is good

·1 month agoWhat you could do is access Ebay through the mobile app and then accept a return while on your trip. If you were to be gone for more than a week I would suggest ending listing then relist them when you come back.

·1 month agoI did a 14 day vacation 'Time Away' but was still selling...made a lot of money.
I just emailed everyone when items will be shipped when I return.
Emails are important and they all show up in your standard inbox of emails on your computer or iPhone...

"While you're on time away, you still need to uphold commitments to your buyers, such as fulfilling orders sold before your time away start date and responding to any open buyer requests related to items sold before your time away start date."

You don’t have to do that. I presume you have a IPhone? If you do have your email sent to your phone like I do so you can respond while you are away. I have responded to eBay messages while I have been on the other side of the planet.
I have both my personal and work emails both go to my Iphone.
