Anyone still getting spoof messages in here?
Summary: iamalwaysright reported receiving a spoof message that tried to impersonate eBay staff. I just got one from a DM in here dated Friday around 6pm Pacific. The member's ID is a poor attempt to pose as an ebay staff department of some sort.

OP2 weeks agoI just got another one about an hour ago from another member with an ID in the same pattern as the first one. The only difference is the end of the screen name trying to pose as the agent’s first name or something. For this one though it shows the message content has been deleted so I don’t see any verbiage.
I’m wondering if the system was able to detect it as spoof and delete the content, why couldn’t they just delete the entire entry itself and never alert me to the message at all?

@iamalwaysright There should be an option that says "report" when you click on the three dots within the chat.

If the user is going to be banned anyway, can’t I just tell you the username here so you’ll know?

·2 weeks ago · EditedInstead of the username, there's one of those three dots symbols if you hover over the message (though since that one says it was deleted, not sure if it would show up now). That's where the flag option is. EDIT: looks like they have renamed it to Report:

EDIT: I TAKE THAT BACK! -It actually does work on any NORMAL message -I just saw it on a message from a regular member. But it appears these world flag ones are immune somehow.

·2 weeks agoI could, but I don't want to "force" my new job in to having to accept me in this condition. They've already been so nice and accommodating to me. They are expecting a able-bodied person, not someone in my current condition.

·2 weeks agoI have not received one since the temporary shutdown. It seems they have not been able to block the messages so all they are doing is stripping out the links that that come with the messages.
