As a interested buyer in my store the curated list throws up there things you have looked at or "hearted" and similar items that you showed interest in. For instance I looked at a bear ornament by particular maker and the curated list added the heart and Christmas tree by the same maker to the curated list. Same thing happened when I looked a cross ornament... So a glorified watch list with some AI creeping on the buyer. Might help sales ... sometimes buyers miss a similar item in your store... long as it is just your items being curated!
Yes, it appears ebay is populating it with stuff ebay thinks the viewer is interested in, based on stuff the viewer has been looking at before arriving at the store. I'd guess this is some more of ebay's "Magical AI" at work.
And my guess is, for now at least, it will be populated with stuff from the store itself, especially if ebay is going to use this as part of its Store Ads format. Right now, if I'm running a store ad , I can direct people to either a coded coupon or a particular category within my store. The Jan 14 announcement suggests that the new feature , which still has not launched, will allow me to add some other destinations, such as my curated collection. ebay will then make its money from the ad clicks on my store ad.

Right now, with a store ad I can send people to only two different landing pages: a public coded coupon sale page, or a store category page. (which I select). The new Store Custom feature adds some new landing pages, one of which is the "curated collection" page.
So, now I wonder....is a "curated collection" page similar to this (except as a complete page). Here's a guess (nothing more, of course): ebay's AI will look at the buyer's interests and my store ad will show them items ebay's AI chooses as most likely of interest to the specific buyer---and then chooses my items to show the buyer on the "curated collection" page. In other words, this is not ME curating the page, it is ebay doing it based on what they know about the buyer.
That could be totally wrong, of course. Another option is that ebay is going to give us the ability within a store to create our own "curated collection" pages....a seller might put together a bunch of stuff that comes from different categories, but all fall within a certain theme.
And it could be something completely different.
Maybe we'll get some insight soon, or maybe it will be covered in the March Webinar (Stores and AI).
Last time I had looked at this, a couple weeks ago, I was being shown 4 items (see OP). I now see a total of 12 if I I do a horizontal scroll (on a PC).
Not a huge change, but as I said, I suspect this is the "Curated Collection" ebay was talking about back on January 13th when they announced the launch of the (STILL not launched) ebay "promoted stores custom" ad feature.
Here is part of that announcement:
"Promoted Stores Customgives you the flexibility to tailor your ads from start to finish:
Select up to 1,000 listings, including ten featured items to showcase in your ads
Choose a custom landing page option for your Store, such as a sales event page, a curated collection, an influencer-led page, or an eBay Live event page.
This update allows you to take control over your ads, how they look, and where they lead:
Highlight the listings you want buyers to see......
But note that the announcement says it will give YOU the ability to highlight listings YOU want the buyer to see......this does not (so far, at least) do that, as it appears EBAY chooses which listings will populate the curated collection. In fact, if I open "Manage My Store" there is zero reference to this curated feature, so it appears I can not only not populate it with my choices, but I cannot turn it off either.
For now, I'll just continue guessing, and hope that we will finally hear some details at the March Stores and AI webinar.
I have never seen "Curated finds for you" before on a store home page. And why ebay is showing me my own items when I look at my own store....I'm guessing somehow they didn't pick up on the fact that I'm not a buyer, it's my own store? Honestly, I have no idea. I went into Manage My Store and there is nothing about Curated Finds....I can't edit this, I can't get rid of it, ebay has simply decided to put it there. Maybe some kind of test?

So, is what I'm seeing tied to this mysterious "Curated Collection"? Or is it something else entirely?
And if so, what exactly is it?
So, just wondering if anyone else is seeing something like this. (I'm seeing it on a PC, with Chrome).
ETA: Just to be clear, I've been researching a chalkware Native American figure, so that helps explain why ebay thinks I'd be interested in these. So, the choice of items is not totally off the wall. Although it seems that it is aimed at potential buyers, and I'm not planning on buying my own items.
I'm guessing this is being populated by AI, based on searches I've been doing.
Your own ETA is your explanation, I have also seen it, When you search for certain items you will then spot this curated collection of similar or same items that you searched, At least that is what I have noticed.

BTW from my buying account I accessed my selling account store and items curated for me were very similar to the above items
