Anyone else getting screwed over by ebay?
Hi all, so I have been been having a hell of a time trying to reactivate my account. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Advise would be appreciated.
I sold a Galaxy Note20 for $200 and promptly shipped it. However USPS would not deliver to the PO box the buyer listed so they have been holding holding the package for pickup for 2 weeks now. The buyer refuses to claim his package and opened a claim using PayPal. As a result ebay suspended all my listings and is holding over $6,000 of my funds. They got back to me today and to say the buyer won their claim and they are charging me the total cost of the phone plus 20 bucks as a ebay penalty fee! I did everything right and it was totally out of my hands. Is this common for ebay to screw over sellers like this? My account is still frozen on top of that for who know how much longer. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

·3 years agoHave you tried recalling the parcel with the phone?
Why let the buyer have both the money and the item?

OP3 years agoYep, first thing I did was call them and they told me I had to wait the full 2 weeks before the parcel would be shipped back to me. This doesn't seem right but the USPS rep assured me that all I could do is wait.

·3 years agoI am sitting on the phone at this moment trying to get eBay to not screw me over on a similar problem. After reading all of these posts, I just have to ask, did you ever get that parcel back?
