Anyone doing, or not doing, 'Priority Promotions" and notice a difference Year over Year?
My sales have dropped last 2 years 26% (2023 to 2025) (14% 2024 to 2025) and I don't do PP's.
I've googled various keyword terms that I've done every month or so the past 10 years and the past year I see very little of my ebay items at the top (was 5-10 of the 20 shown 2 yrs ago, now maybe 1 way over the right) and was at least 3 of the top 10 items shown, now 0.
So, anyone doing PP and seeing it work? If so, how much are you paying to get some decent results on Google?

·7 months agoNot that long ago, I could own pages. I use a bright green background for pics.
Search Term / Filter to Used / Sort Lowe$t 1st. (sea of green top to bottom).
Had plenty of competition, but that search method put me on top, competition at the bottom.
THAT, can no longer be done with one selling account.
In order to be seen, I choose offsite promotion to help get away from ebay on-site manipulation.
It seems to help.
But I'd rather not get into what my daily/monthly $ limits are right here.

I abandoned PLS (Promoted Listing Standard - now referred to as a General Campaign) at the end of 2023. I had several good years using PLS once a quarter running a 30 day campaign. It was truly a boost in sales. Then in early 2022 when PLA was fully launched (the pre-curser to PP), Views counting was changed and the "Suggested" ad rates for PLS doubled and tripled in my categories ... my sales started a slow stead decline over a three year period to the tune of a lot of lost revenue. 2025 was the first year since the decline that was not lower than the previous year ... but it didn't break any growth records that's for sure.
I do not use Best Offer and rely on organic sales to minimize the amount of fees paid to the venue. I "get" that eBay's income is from fees and advertising, the amount they wanted to sustain sales at previous levels made selling like that Unsustainable.
During those three years of steady decline and in order to maintain sell through rates I diverted a healthy percentage of my items off the venue and sold them elsewhere. Just a simple business decision, if one venue was unwilling to show my items to potential customers other venues were more than willing. While I like Selling on eBay and prefer it at the end of the day it's all about money and it's just business, nothing personal.

·7 months agoI just use Standard promotions between 2-3% never higher, I have not seen any noticeable difference, I am in a highly saturated collectibles market & I think without it I would have less sales.

OP7 months ago@mozartbach1971 First, I don't know if you 'can' but I would NOT do it for auctions, as they run out well before a 'Google' would show them, as well as I'm not even sure Google (and the likes) picks up auctions and that was the entire reason for the 'All Buy It Now are now 30 day until cancelled' so they could 'stay' and be 'picked up' accurately by the roaming bots of Google (and the likes)
'Priority' (vs General or whatever they call it) is an 'advertising fee you pay to ebay and you get charged EVERY TIME someone simply 'clicks' on the advertisement (mostly on Google, but ebay, just like Goggle Pay Per Click, will also advertise it other places, on Yahoo/MSN News pages, your 'email' (on the sides) etc. You choose a 'daily dollar amount' that you are willing to spend. You have really NO way of really knowing if someone clicks your item, it's just shown on the Seller Hub graph.
The difference being- Priority is as I stated above and does NOT mean you sold something.
The 'general' one is a % you ADD to the Final Value Fee. You are giving that additional amount to try to be shown on the 1st page on Ebay ONLY.
