·2 years agoHey @inhawaii are you sure yours was specifically from Paypal or did you just assume it was about sales payments made through Paypal? -Mine is not. Also I guess I should have tagged you in my previous reply upthread^ about whether yours was addressed to your real name or your ebay username?

·2 years agoNothing from Paypal but I have a few that have come my way that I can never tell if they are real or not. Something about an Oracle data breach, a few about Round Up weed killer, and also that Real Estate commissions settlement. I filed for the real estate one since I sold a house within the time frame, but now I can't find where/how I filed, so maybe I'll magically get a check in a few years....

·2 years agoYea I received all three of them also. The are real, but I am not entitled to any of them and threw them all away. This is just part of the process to notify people who may be entitled to an award.

·2 years agoWas it from this outfit, and did they address you by your eBay username like this? I've never had that before. (It's in my Informed Delivery for tomorrow, so as of right now I don't know for sure what it is).

·2 years agoEven before MP, was it us sellers accepting the Visa and Mastercard payments or was it eBay?
If it was us, did it have to be direct payments from one of those cards to us, or did the payments made through Paypal count?
I just know I accepted Paypal and I think that was all. Jeez anything before the pandemic feels like at least a decade ago to me. 🤣 I'm going to be a very irritating old person someday.

·2 years agoOn August 8, 2024, the Court granted a requested 180-day extension of the claims-filing deadline and extended the deadline to Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
@inhawaii You're gonna have to wait until February to retire.

·2 years agoI received one toward the end of September (maybe around the 30th) and when I tried to submit my claim, this is what it showed.
It makes no sense because I know buyers used credit cards to pay for their purchases. It's impossible that there'd be 0 transactions.

·2 years agoA Class Action Lawsuit does not always know everyone that could be entitled to a settlement so anyone who remotely could be entitled to part of the settlement is notified. Basically, they will notify everyone who has done business with a company during the specific period. It is up to the person receiving the notification if they choose to make a claim or not. Sometimes your claim will be accepted, no questions asked. Other times you may be required to provide proof that you are entitled to the settlement.

I receive a notice today about Oracle and their data loss.
What does the Settlement provide? Under the Settlement, Oracle will pay $115 million to establish a Settlement Fund.

Got one 5 years ago for Google's AdSense for a Class Action that occurred 10 years before and received a check for $177.00 (because I still had my account number after all that time, the lawyers got 60% of the rest.....lol). Received about $28 in Visa Pre-Paid cards for Milk many years ago (they sent 2 cards because so many applied thanks to the media plugging it, and yet those potential parties never claimed their dough allowing a second payment to those who did).
Lately, I recently received one for a tech company which I applied for as a party, but it was not PayPal. Good Night, Sleep Tight.
