Annoying item delivered emails
Have been receiving emails starting last week every time an item that I sold is delivered and that I should keep it going. Never received these before, there is no way to turn them off. Is anyone else frustrated by this after selling on 26 years now they’re gonna send me an email every time something is delivered and give me a pat on the back telling me to continue it😡

·6 months agoWe are getting them but it also seems random.
TONS of items being delivered yet one of these emails we never asked for every few days.
It is cluttering our inbox and when you offer personalized items and have to communicate with buyers, it is a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE eBay.
They are sending so many unsolicited messages lately it's absurd.

·6 months agoIn Account Preferences, try unchecking "item received' within Selling Activity in Communication Preferences.

·6 months agoWell... that's interesting; thanks. I took a look at mine and almost every single one of those is checked, including the annoying Delivered messages that we're talking about here. I can only assume that they've been added recently, and in checked form, as I cannot recall ever seeing those before and would definitely not have opted in to most any of them.

·6 months agoThat's bonkers. I just looked at mine and almost everything is checked but item sold. 🤔 Are these set to be the opposite? I do get item sold emails and I'm not getting most of the others that are checked. BTW--I know I didn't check off all the stuff either, but I would definitely have checked item sold. I just left mine as is for now.

I've never seen a "Your sale has been delivered" message before this month. The first one I found in my From eBay folder in Messages came in a week ago today, on February 7th.

·6 months agoI agree. They are brand new. I got my first one on the 7th also. I DO use & keep some of those messages, so I know when they change. I had the same experience as you did when I used @nyr134 post to go turn it off, in that there were a whole LOT more options than I remember being there before. Then, in my haste to turn them all off, I accidentally turned off the SOLD emails, which I want & use LOL.

OP6 months agoAnd they’re in lies the problem, eBay wants to inundate you with emails that don’t help in any way other than to distract you from making sales. It’s akin to scam emails, you get so many emails that don’t matter at all you miss important ones, great job eBay letting me know that items are delivered. Meanwhile, I lost revenue, which means eBay lost revenue and I would hate to see eBay lose a dime😂

OP6 months agoSeems like another eBay glitch as I had item sold checked but I have been getting item sold emails for a long time. Now that is is checked I guess I won't get item sold emails SMH?

OP6 months agoWhat is the alternative to deleting them? are you gonna print them out and keep them forever because they’re so important?

·6 months agoI left a less-than-flattering comment about it using the link at the bottom of the message. I said I was perfectly capable of following the tracking myself if I ever needed to know whether it had been delivered, and asked (rhetorically) what I was supposed to do with the knowledge that the package had arrived.
After all, I know enough to not go pestering the buyer to leave feedback. That would not end well. I ended my comment to eBay with some crystal-clear wording: "Please stop it."
