AI just took my first negative off and I'm confused.
Sold some train parts. Buyer got them. Waited 8 days and said parts werent functional. Open up a return which i did take but but was in constant contact with the buyer until he stopped. Get everything back. Pieces are missing, things he said didn't work do. I just issue a refund. Next day he leaves me a negative. I know how that can go so i report him, twice for 2 different things. 3 days go by and i look at my feedback. The negative was gone. Called ebay and asked. They said AI monitors feedback and if somethings not right it can and will delete it. It did on mine. So I'm still a bit confused, but happy its no longer there. Ive been on ebay 10 years and this would have been my 1st undeserved negative. Im honestly surprised they did this, but greatful as well.

·10 months agoWhy? Negative Feedback was gone. Don't question it. Go on about your day. Your phone call could have triggered a "Wait a minute" moment. What? Put that Negative back on there. You hit your goal you were seeking when you reported him, to get that Negative removed. Then you questioned it. Again, Why??
Ever seen the movie Money Ball? Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) negotiating trades over the phone. Team Owner gave him what he wanted, and he hung up the phone immediately. Peter Brand(Jonah Hill) then says "he was still talking, why did you hang up like that?" Billy then says "We got what we wanted, don't give them a chance to rethink it". Same applies here. 😄

OP10 months agoI get it. Don't look a gift horse in the face. Im 66, old school. I just wanted to know why. She said it wasnt deserved and was taken off. I didn't push the issue, just a TY and have a nice day. Did ask if the feedback could be given back by the buyer or AI. Was on hold for a few and she said No way. Like i said i just wondered if this has happened to anyone else. But im quiet and greatful now. TY

OP10 months agoAnd thats what i dont understand. I asked her what are the situations involved in making those chocies. She said she didnt know but whatever it was i fit the preramiters. To me that meant nothing. Just wondered if this had happened to anyone else. TY

·10 months agoMost likely they have been reported for abusing returns many times already. Reporting this abuse is absolute must for every seller.
