AI and too many changes

Why is eBay all of a sudden changing everything involving listing. I wasn’t able to get anything listed yesterday or today because I’m so terribly frustrated with all the changes. It’s a total train wreck. I feel I do a much better job with my descriptions than AI since I use the description to list measurements and disclose any flaws. All AI does is write a flowery description that really has nothing at all to do with the condition of the item and I know no buyers who like AI descriptions. Personally, when shopping I skip the items that have AI descriptions because they are meaningless to me.
Does anyone know when eBay will settle down and just let us list as usual? And why isn’t eBay talking to sellers about these changes?

·2 months agoOn my create a listing page, it is forcing me to use the new AI Feature. I have not been able to figure out how to turn this automated system off. I attempted to figure out how to add my details, and shipping but the system doesn't easily guide you where to migrate through to complete the listing. Horrible and very time-consuming.

·1 year agoOnly time EBAY offers Ai description is when that option is "turned on". You may be using an APP that has already selected that option.
Edit your listing and go to "description page". You will see an option that says "Ai description" (make sure that is turned off).

OP1 year agoIt’s off and has been off. I never use AI.

·1 year agoYesterday I posted about a change they made to listing from drafts and a few others agreed and said it was horrible and then this morning it went back to normal.

I listed an item tonight and saw nothing unusual. I wasn't being forced to use AI to write a description - is that what was happening to you?
And why isn’t eBay talking to sellers about these changes?

OP1 year agoYes, with the drafts. New listings just have weird unusual quirks here and there. Lots of prompts to use AI. I just tried a new draft and it seems to be back to normal now. I saw other sellers talking about the same issue on a Facebook group yesterday so I was not alone.
