·1 month agoA lot of the issues on eBay can be handled without contacting anyone. If you'll give details of your problem, we might be able to help.

·1 month agoThat's so cute...j/k...there is no contacting. Listing/sell/no return is left to chance. It's up to you to determine what % of your effort is worth it. I require 100% so I'm pulling listings, the risk is too great.

·1 month agoHere are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

·1 month agothere is NO 'real' person. There ARE persons, that if you figure it out, you can TALK to, but they are a hired 3rd Party 3rd World company (with accents) that do nothing but type in a screen and bark back AI answers- or for even MORE fun- they simply lie to you about 'creating a ticket' 'a supervisor will call you back' 'you are right so do nothing' 'we'll refund you within 72 hours'....
ALL of which does NOT happen.
This is an automated site.
Spill your story here and other members will tell you how to proceed.

·1 month agoNot all CSRs [customer service reps] are 3rd party nor are they all located outside the country. Just because someone has an accent does not mean they are not in the USA. My neighbor has an accent and I know for a fact they live here in the USA.

·1 month agoI requested calls the other day and 4x got, 'we will call within 15, 20, 30 min'...then simple notes saying, 'we attempted to call,' but there was never a ring. Two or three other times, I received a call with prompt disconnects, as if planned. I'm constantly told things that don't happen. The system is entirely broken, and while they are wasting time with AI to answer CSR calls, someone is in the garage building up a site with AI, and probably blockchain, to make a fully equitable trading platform. I'm done with this 20 year old 'technology'...local cash is king, the rest goes to the dump.

That can happen if you have VOIP or if your spam blocker or your phone provider's spam blocker blocks the call.
If you are unable to get a call back, try reaching out to eBay via Instagram direct message.

Or else ask your general question here for advice from experienced users.

·1 month agono VOIP or other, calls before and since have come through. Thanks for the other advice.

·1 month agoCall waiting might prevent a call from eBay going through if there was another call at the same time.

In Chat, type "AGENT". That should get a real person in quickly. Let us know if that doesn't work.
Calling may be harder to get one... but keep trying and give different answers.
