After 10 years of selling, ebay put our payouts on-hold and is putting us out of business!
On December 1st (the busiest time of year) ebay send us an email (out of no where) that our payout will be on hold until 3 days after delivery. We haven't had any negative issues, no cases closed negatively, nothing.
We were told that our volume was up and that's why...We've had 30% volume increases year over year.
They're holding thousands of dollars and we show items delivered -mostly international (using EIS) but still not paid! Orders shipped through EIS (Ebay International Shipping) has everything shipped domestically to the EIS hub and then is the responsibility and controlled by EIS (Ebay): shipments, losses, damages, everything is controlled and the responsibility of EIS once it arrives to the EIS domestic hub! Ebay refuses to recognize this and is keeping the funds until it arrives to the international destination (many weeks or a months later) even though all issues are controlled, covered, and the responsibility of EIS (Ebay). We've sent out 30%-45% of our sales that are international orders that we will not be paid to us (maybe in a couple of months, if that!) -International delivery confirmations are very sketchy. We're turning off EIS for 300+ listings -No more international sales!!
We have done NOTHING to deserve this by ebay. We took great care of our (Ebay's) customers...
We can't pay our bills, our employees, and can't sleep at night due to Ebay causing our business to fail due to all this! We made the mistake of trusting in Ebay as our only marketplace as a loyal Ebay seller.
So much for a happy NEW Year??!!

But in a reply to a couple of negatives you say: "Dear buyer, we are sorry to hear about the slow shipping you experienced due to USPS issues. Our 100% volunteer staff do their best, working as hard as they can to ensure the timely processing of your online orders go out as fast as they can."
Your post today sounds like the selling account is a personal one of yours but in your feedback replies, it almost sounds like the bookstore is an extension of the church, done as a way to supply extra income for the church. Am I reading this wrong?
Edit: In one of your posts from 2021, I see you are a "certified 501c3 non-profit charity Church" so it looks like this does pertain to church business rather than personal business.

·7 months agoYou are wise to turn off international sales. We haven't sold internally for 20 years. Unfortunately, we found too many scammers, and it just wasn't worth the extra trouble. I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue. Accept it, deal with it(as you have in turning off international), and keep plugging on. I have a feeling eBay is losing thousands of buyers because of the incompetence. It is going to get better, guaranteed. I wish you the best.

·7 months agoThat is not true, sadly. I wish it was. There is absolutely no guarantee anything here will get better. If anything we see they often make things worse while claiming they've made it better for us.

·7 months ago@dryophelia Me either. I would think after ten years @stsch-orthodox-bookstore would have some working capital saved up.
To the OP... it is your gold and sterling silver crosses that did it. I assume those were your thousands in sales. If you are going to sell high dollar stuff, it is better to ease into it. You can't jump from selling $50 -$70 books to $1000+ jewelry and not expect eyebrows to be raised no matter how long you have been selling.

·7 months agoIt is a standard eBay policy to place a hold on payouts in instances of unusual selling patterns or significant increases in sales volume, even for established sellers. While delivery to the domestic hub transfers liability to eBay for loss or damage during international shipping, the hold on funds is a separate policy intended to ensure fund availability until the buyer receives the item and the transaction is successfully completed.
