Advertising NEW, on eBay, Really that's all eBay is about anymore, not about selling anything, that's why people come to eBay to sell stuff, not to Buy Advertising or pay for promoting listings to Unhide your stuff, totally ridiculous.

·2 years agoNow with their new change I can't even end or edit my promoted listing campaign. Every single change they make is for the worst. Now they only show your promoted traffic every other day. Like how is that helpful?...

·2 years agoI find that the promoted listings really depend on the type of item you are selling. I have steered towards vintage and used electronics for the most part. It's not something that can be readily obtained at you local Radio Shack any more and many times there are very few of the item even listed. So promotions don't make sense for me.
I imagine in a saturated market with tons of similar items, the promotions pay off.
I wish that they were not a thing and everyone was on a level playing field, but eBay makes more money this way and they will continue to do it until it stops making money or some new and even worse trend starts that will make them more money.
In the end it comes down to what works for your business.
