·4 months agoYes THANK YOU! I knew there were examples of this with actual statues, but couldn't think of one besides the one I just saw on Antiques Roadshow last night -a life-size bronze ballerina at a ballet academy in England, where the students all rub her middle finger (😆) for good luck.

·4 months agoMy favorite one was one that snuck up on me while visiting Pere Lachaise in Paris. The grave of a French journalist featured a full body bronze statue of himself and while the entire statue has the normal greenish hue of old bronze, his, how to keep this family friendly, nether regions appear constantly well polished.
It was refreshing to see a male statue “womanhandled” for once. ☺️

·4 months agoI didn't know eBay still had adult's only category left on the site ? I thought they where all gone since May 2021 ,when they sent me the notice update of Category's removed because I used to sell adult item collectibles back then .

·4 months agoNeither did I. It's kind of funny what's considered "adult" today, especially in light of ebay's "dirty drawers" heyday. It's also kind of weird how some really graphic stuff just gets missed entirely while these spicy girls require proof of age.
I think one of the other posters hit on the issue...AI is still about as "intelligent" as a brain-damaged gerbil.

·4 months ago@gone.c-33 OMG YES! -Victor Noir, and kissing him is part of the ritual too, but I don't get why the verdigris is even rubbed off his nose and chin. There are some rather eye-popping images of women sitting on his nether regions so maybe his face gets the same treatment too?

·4 months agoIt's not the nudity of the statue itself. There are way more risque statues listed.
The AI saw the head of the statue as being shaped similarly to the head of - well you know, and thought it was something entirely different.
