Active Items Discrepancy
Summary: stampsdiesandmore noticed a discrepancy in their listing count between the overview page and storefront, questioning if it's a common issue. caldreamer explained that the difference could be due to items with multiple quantities, which stampsdiesandmore found helpful. mam98031 and kandf_vintage_finds noted this delay is normal on large platforms, citing experience and suggesting it doesn't affect listing visibility. inhawaii and others shared similar experiences, with some attributing the difference to out-of-stock items or listing updates. Overall, participants acknowledged that such discrepancies are ongoing but don't typically impact sales.
Anyone come across this issue? My overview page stated I have 1,855 active listings. BUT on my storefront, it says "search all 1,825 items". There is a discrepancy of 30 items. I have previously contact customer service for assistance, to bring it to there attention that there might be a problem. A company wide problem or just me? And of course, it had gotten me nowhere!!!! Any comment is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

When ever I step on a scale, for some strange, it never reflects my "actual" weight.

·2 weeks agoMine haven't matched up in over a decade. I don't have multiple quantity listings and it's never the correct number.

·2 weeks ago@selsa84 It has nothing to do with variation listings and everything to do with what I explained earlier. Take the number you see in your store and add in the listings about to renew together and you will be within striking distance of your Active Listing number. It really is just that simple.

·2 weeks agoHence why I said I don't have multiple quantity listings. Someone else state that was the reason and it's not. Neither is your explanation. Number has been off since well before the gtc ever took affect.

·2 weeks agoMy seller hub says I have 411 items for sale.
My store says "search all 384 items".
The reason for that is that I have some items that are out of stock.
The seller hub is usually correct.

OP2 weeks agoThank you all for your comments. I planned to do a spot check on one of my store categories to see if it matches - store front items vs. acting listing items....have a terrific weekend all. Its pretty wet here in NJ for the next couple of days...

·2 weeks agoYes happens to me too. Been like this for as long as can remember. I don't think I am missing any listings though.

·2 weeks agoYes, this has happened for as long as I can remember. It is important to remember that Ebay is a huge site with over 2.5 Billion active listings. It simply can't run on real time posting. So while the Seller Hub Active listings is in real time, our stores are not. When a listing is preparing to relist, it can cause a difference between the listing count in the Seller Hub and our Store front. But nothing is wrong. All the listings are still searchable and buyers are able to see them all. It just takes a few minutes or more for the counts to catch up with each other, but all your listings are active and there to be sold.
It is something you will see constantly happening. Your Active Listings in the Seller Hub is the correct number.

·2 weeks agoOne number is total number of listings and other number is total number of items available. If your items have "more than one" available this would account for the difference.

·2 weeks agoNo, that isn't it. For example most of my listings have 2 or more available. So at the minimum when my Active Listings in the seller hub show I have 627 active listings. My your theory, my store should then show I have about 1260 listings. It does not. My store shows 609 and I have, per the seller hub, 19 listings relisting today. 609 + 19 = 628.
