Account Permanently suspended MC011
Today our account was permanently suspended, this is after already sending them over documents of all items purchased for sale on ebay. We have two small open cases both are buyer payment disputes which we can do nothing about. All of our feedback is 100%, there are no other open returns or cases, all items have been documented to be paid for, all items have been shown to be delivered/shipped in time frame alotted. We were just granted top rated status.. I am really really confused. We have not violated any of ebay policies, received no warnings. We did have two veros, one was removed by Vero as it was incorrect from epson and the other is on our account for using the word lightning and thats it.. thats literally it.. WHY!? @wiijit

·3 years agoOmg this just happened to me as well! I have a glowing 100% feedback, I just hit top rated seller a few days prior (I was only selling for 3 months so first time I was eligible). Except I don’t have any Vero or any slaps on the wrist at all. I have never had any disputes or issues at all.
Last week I got the dreaded account suspended email and they asked for the tracking which I sent. Then they asked for all of my receipts, which I sent. However the only mistake I may have made is all of this is I sent all of the receipts for sold items initially, then separately sent all of the receipts for listed items. Not even 5 hours after I sent everything I got the permanently suspended from selling email. I immediately called and they said the reason was because they had concerns about where I was getting the items I was listing/selling and that they couldn’t verify my receipts. Like what?!?! I told them I sent them, and they are all from a major retailer so it’s not like they wouldn’t be accepted. They basically said they would escalate it but I’m not holding my breath.
it’s unreal that a single crappy employee who didn’t bother even looking at the receipts could ruin my business and reputation with no way to appeal it at all. Absolutely unreal. I posted about this and was being told that there has to be more to the story… but there really isn’t. It’s absolutely absurd that this can happen even when I sent everything that was asked of me and they are all valid legitimate receipts.

OP3 years ago0 Explanation given, we have decided to part ways in a selling relationship.. ever see that one before? Its obvious they were getting pressured by larger brands..

·3 years ago@wiijit you might start by looking at the brands you are selling. Most brands now have some form of MAP policy in place and many specifically prohibit sales of their products on 3rd party auction sites. Most brands also do not allow use of stock company images on such 3rd party websites.
I did a search and saw online that philips lighting (now called Signify) would take action on not only the online seller, but the distributor that supplied them with the products as well if they willingly violate their MAP/Online Sales policy.
I also am sitting on thousands of dollars worth of product that I purchased before the specific companies even had a MAP policy prohibiting 3rd party online sales and the manufacturer cares little about my issue.
Sincere good luck to you in your efforts!

OP3 years agoIve literally send them over documents with manifests from best buy, with lot numbers, total units, and with credit card receipts all have my name on them.. i dont know what else i can do to make it more official for them besides having it notarized and signed by an attorney

·3 years agoEngage the Facebook route as you've been previously advised. I've heard this is the way.

OP3 years agoJust because something is on a piece of paper doesnt mean its true, correct or appropriate. I will be digging into the bottom of this as I have over 50k in inventory sitting here

·3 years agoI think it is possible the reason eBay targeted you is because you are selling in a high fraud category, in some cases selling multiples of items, at prices markedly under retail.
Apparently you got caught in the recent dragnet eBay is using to crack down on vendors selling stolen goods. Unfortunately, it sounds like your submitted documentation failed to convince eBay otherwise.
If this was my dilemma, i would reach out to the customer service on Facebook, as suggested upthread by @ckimodog , as they may be able to help you. Before you burn your eBay bridges down by going viral, i would exhaust my efforts at reinstatement first.
Good luck. Hope this all gets resolved to your benefit.

OP3 years agoAnd this is where my attorney will step in regardless of their language they have done immediate harm

·3 years agoI feel your pain! Having suffered harm in other areas of my life from 800lb gorillas (financial services), I've wanted to engage my attorneys to make things right.
However, I can almost certainly assure you eBay has moar legal firepower than you do. I'm not saying that you don't have a case, or a strongly worded letter might not make a difference. It just feels like a David vs. Goliath scenario.

·3 years agoSecond time I've seen someone get the boot with a large number of Philips lighting products for sale.
Here was the other one. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Got-a-MC011-and-don-t-know-why/m-p/33487415

Did ebay ask you to provide receipts and invoices for all the multiples of items you were selling? Sometimes providing all what they ask of can get your account re enstated. Did you try reaching out on social media?:
https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/
These are credible US cs agents that actually work for Ebay and are more likely help you with your issue.
Many positive outcomes posted here in their ability to be helpful.
Good luck and hope things turn around for you.

·3 years agoThe key to ckimodog's response is to reach out to eBay on Facebook and not on the phone. Two completely different entities. "eBay for business" on FB will get you real eBay customer service versus overseas subcontractors. Be patient, and wait for them to respond to you and validate you on FB.

OP3 years agoI just sent a form letter to all of our customers letting them know of our suspension and accompanying documents we have sent. I will make this go viral if I have to.. We have done nothing wrong
fashunu4eeuh
·3 years agoSo sorry this is happening to you.
Sadly, eBay doesn’t need a reason to suspend an account. From the eBay User Agreement:
“Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse, modify, or terminate all or part of our Services to anyone for any reason at our discretion.â€

·3 years agoState your case to eBay thru Facebook messenger.
Short, easy to read paragraphs. Don't include anything that is not pertinent.
EBay won't care in the least about any threats. Don't make any to the Facebook employees if you want any chance at reinstatement.

OP3 years agoWe have confirmation from the VERO team that the one item which was removed was done so improperly was reinstated and relisted.
lakefor94
·3 years agoEven though reinstated as you say, this might have been the trigger. The bots got you again. Does not matter that it was "reinstated". Should have listed that product somewhere else.
Whenever I have had a Vero take down over the years, I never relisted here.
wiijit
OP3 years agoIt was never relisted. they just said it would be relisted but we didnt touch it

·3 years agoI worry about the end part you mentioned. They claim VeRO's are removed, but in the past after they told us it was removed, the Sellers Health team requested a 1-pager business readout for us and it STILL appeared in the Violations section.
They changed the CS teams a year or two ago and I don't even know if they can make 1-pager business readouts anymore. But that used to be the only way to see violations that had active punishments on your account.
I also had them tell me for YEARS that a VeRO "fair warning" does not and should not result in any penalties as long as your listing is not taken down. The VeRO team all cosigned this saying that if there was any penalty, it was done wrongly. But the one-pagers again showed VeRO penalties on our account even though we never had any takedown.
After years of trying to find out why we're getting penalties for "fair warnings" - and those "warnings" not being very "fair" at all (or even a warning if they are alongside a penalty), Trinton as the community leader here at the time said straight up to me that VeRO fair warnings DO implement penalties.
Their implementation of VeRO is extremely poor and it seems if they can't fix the errors that give sellers penalties unfairly, they will change the rules and claim it is intended.

·3 years agoWere you buying pallets of goods from a 3rd Party (not direct from a Home Depot/Lowes)?
Also, has to have the exact name and address on the receipt that matches ebay name/address, as well as date etc.
wiijit
OP3 years agoAuthorized liquidation centers we have the paperwork for that also that all items are authentic and traceable. We have 3 locations in Pittsburgh all are valid as some locations are unable to receive certain shipments due to truck size
wiijit
OP3 years agonothing out of the ordinary our return rate is 3% and thats in electronics and of that 3%, 2% of it were from folks who just didnt like the item. 2 open disputes are for 3.99 and 299.00 both stating that they did not recognize transaction. We shipped both items to the account registered on ebay and both accounts had positive feedback. There is literally nothing I can think of that would warrant this. the only logical explanation I had is another seller reported our account several times as we have been taking significant business away from them

·3 years agoI'm very sorry for your situation. I'm sure you're bewildered and upset to find yourself permanently suspended with what you think is no reason. It's their policy to only tell you they think you're a risk to the community. They don't give second chances and they don't tell you why because they think you don't have a need to know. They don't want you to fix it and sneak back on. Harsh.
What's worse is all your eBay accounts and the accounts of household members will be suspended. Anyone they can link to you will be suspended from selling.
The user agreement basically says you agree to all their decisions. You're wasting your time trying to get eBay to justify their decision.

·3 years agoSince this is an eBay member forum we don’t know why you are permanently suspended. The message you received will briefly tell you why.
Sorry.
wiijit
OP3 years agoNo it doesnt, putting the community at risk? With 0 negative feedback, 1 chargeback and 100% delivered on time with auditable products? Further explanation has not been given
